Thanks for that Harry. I had no idea that these sites existed and that makes sense although my broker will give me that same information when proposing a trade.

Over the years we've all seen single figure and double figures trades. I can't imagine why anybody would buy 6 or 20 shares so I was thinking that they represent something else.

Has anybody with greater knowledge an answer as to why these trades happen? Would appreciate enlightenment.

More ducks in a row is what it looks like to me. If the Aussies can get their mines up and running , VFBs there will explode IMHO.

I was thinking along similar lines as the amount over the months would add up to a notifiable amount I would have thought. Anybody know how these MMs work?

I had a look at EMEC's site https://www.emec.org.uk/projects/ if anybody's interested.

Certainly a varied package of projects and looks like they have the Scottish Government's ear so funding might not be a problem for them.

What struck me was EMEC's CEO saying that they needed a robust battery that needed to work hard day in day out. It could be why they chose VFBs instead of lithium and that aspect won't be lost on visitors to the site not IES's sales team I hope.

I think we should ignore what is happening over in the USA OTC market at the moment. The spreads are ridiculous and the volumes are small. Yesterday mid session we saw a 50% drop with a subsequent recovery and today there is a 33% drop on 2 small trades.

Maybe one for the future but best to ignore it right now IMHO.

Actually it shows how sparsely the trade the stock is on the OTC Market. Hopefully the volumes will increase but there were only 2 trades up to when I wrote, 2000 and 1500, and the spread must be horrendous over there. I don't know much about that market but atm I doubt that it represents an accurate representation of the American view regardless of my tongue in cheek post earlier.

Don't think we should make too much of what the Americans think. The stock over there is down 50%. So much for OTC Market.

Don't know why IES would need a fundraise for this as essentially it is a co-operation JV.

This stood out for me, a quote from the CEO Us Vanadium.

"By combining our abilities into a joint venture, we plan to make safe, reliable and economical battery systems available to a dramatically growing market hungry for alternatives to fire-prone lithium-based systems"

It backs up what Larry has been saying for some time. With new legislation and this hook up, it should be much, much easier to gain traction in the US. Something that will not be lost on US investors methinks.

It echos what Larry has been saying for the last couple of years or so. I believe he is correct but we have a problem and that is initial price. It's getting closer to lithium, and certainly over the life of most projects it works out cheaper overall, but too many potential customers are thinking short term IMHO as half of the managers won't be in the same place in 5-10 years. The other problem is that lithium is the go to product and we have a "nobody ever got the sack by buying IBM' scenario.

It's a tough one but I have the feeling that if IES can get a few more orders it will attain a more established main stream reputation and people will be more confident about placing orders.

I may be wrong here but something is stopping orders coming right now.

All true. I wonder how many, if any, orders have been delayed until this act was passed and the details are known. We might have a wait a bit until they decide how the cake is going to be divided.

If they can't sell in volume now in the US, they never will.

Thanks for that Phimx. I was talking to someone on another BB who said the same thing. I got it all wrong in what I thought. FYI a guy on another BB says he has been off loading 300K since June in 25K batches. He didn't say whether he had finished or not. I should have asked him but it can't go on for ever at that rate. Others might be off loading as well for all I know.

GDCol and Murdo McSponge found these 2 sites so we can watch what is happening over there especially after hours here. Not much going on there at the moment but it's early days.

SP held up quite well. Anybody have any idea what happened in the US?

Hope you are right Mosax. It's a hell of a push from here though and will need plenty of orders news of which is in piteous supply.
