Why do I say DCF is not relevant. Simple i expect KIBO to be taken out long before the application of DCF is directly relevant. The indirect relevance of placings is not the only parameter.

I think you may need to do some more research. IW1 & IW2 both confirm the existence of the HRZ. What it takes to get the HRZ to give up the il it has as proven by both drills is the test. the key to unlock this is still being worked on.

Perhaps you need to take that up with those guys who are dumb enough like the majors to take up a ponzi scheme. The biggest costs has not been the wells it has been the lack of infrastructure to carry the full capacity of what is produced.

88e sits on the needed infrastructure a mere 12 miles from pump 2 TAPS on an all year round gravel pad with all year round access to pump 2 and the Dalton highway. We have not had an update to the P50 indicating a BE $40pb for high grade API oil priced closer to Brent than WTI.

In addition 88e is targeting a one of a kind hybrid with characteristics of conventional flow. Probably one of the reasons that IW2 is proving to be a tougher nut to crack. that does not mean it will not crack but just make take a little more time.

No doubt that success in the conventional drills will bring funding that can be used to further investigate the HRZ. Whilst the time taken is prolonged the increased efficiency in shale extraction continues to improve. This may not reduce costs but it may prevent costs rising further.

Not all shale oil fields are the same, much in the way not all conventional oil fields are either.

Difficult to imagine that we would get, in effect, another holding RNS to tick more boxes etc. I suspect the MMs who can see any RNS in the pipeline will be thinking the same. They will not know the content until published. Yest, they may anticipate.

I think the author in his enthusiasm for conventional oil has perhaps forgotten that conventional wells also suffer decline rates.
