I was wrongly under the impression that Hydrates would form at freezing or close so that would be the top of the well area?

as for the Fracc fluid to gel was a share from another poster on HC.

I am not sure what you would describe a fluid that does not flow, just oozes gently!!, if at all.

You do realise you cannot have a flow test result based on fluid flowing out the well bore but not flowing out of the formation. You do understand that?

Once you do understand this then you will know when to expect news on a result for a flow test.

Another thought is that the fracc fluid may over a longer shut in become a gel that is just not shifting out of the formation. So the recovery we have had was that which was already inside the well bore.

Interestingly enough when they advised on the re opening that there was no evidence of anything solid being n moved jnto the well bore. Perhaps its because nothing was moving at all, it was gelled in!!

On HC a suggestion of a 'thinner' as a generic definition be added in to see if it would make the fracc fluid flow. Once that happens the NL would take over.

The fracc fluid is NOT entering the bottom of the well bore. Why because it is not coming out of the formation. No Nitrogen does not push fracc fluid out of the formation as insufficient Nitrogen would be entering the formation as it is going back up the well bore.

Only when the Fracc fluid is at the base of the well bore does NL take over and push the fracc fluid up the tube

Not true.

The nitrogen lift is to raise fluid in the well bore and it has done so.

The problem is the fracc fluid is not leaving the formation to enter the lower end of the well bore for the Nitrogen to continue a successful push and lift.

BTW the JV will be targeting close to 1.4 billion barrels of conventional leads. Top end API with costs below that of shale P50 at $39. Suggest NPV of 7$ pb NET to 88e.

You ask a good question. The answer is at the bottom of the ANN/ RNS released this morning.

I suspect that a farm in partner to Ice 2 is already on the cards as the costs of a Horizontal drill net to 88e are in the region of 12m$us.

Those looking for a JV statement have got one.

So it is all going to plan.

The reduced Pressure is a 'managed' position, not the well telling us what we can get.

Eric and the surface team are managing Nitrogen injection 11,000 ft away and reading the gauges to manipulate as best they can. This is as new to them as it is to the frac team with 100,000 plus drills.

That it may take a little longer to tickle the well and adjust the nitrogen flow is not a harbinger of disaster. Will be a test of testicular fortitude and patience.

Te patience test is easy to manage with a more effective report button for the trolls and a filter button to go with it.

The lowest rice today will probably value the potential of the Conventional leads that continue to build, so no mystery there then.

Stop and ask your self how much is close to 1.4billion barrels of high grade CONVENTIONAL API worth. Personally i would be surprised to see that worth anything less than 5$ pb net to 88e or close to 7$Billion. Extraction costs will be below the proposed P50 for shale at 39$.

Maybe, just maybe, we have to wait until 2019 for another major attempt at shale in the west area where the shale is at is deepest with greatest volumetrics..... I can wait.
