Foxy.
But does that IATA fee get automatically levied on domestic flights. I suspect not.
____
The IATA are an association--- International Air Transport Association---- they do not levy or collect a fee from passengers... so I'm not sure what you are saying?
The fee that WSG receive for 'security' scanning a passenger applies to domestic and international flights. Processing your luggage/x-ray/scanning etc., occurs whether you are on an internal or external flight. I take your point though, that there may be less processes required on an internal flight,...and so the per capita fee might be less with a domestic flight than an international flight ( but we are both just surmising).....and, to be honest, it is largely irrelevant, as what is important is the overall annual income of the contract ...
... and it would appear that flights are returning to SL

..and perhaps our scanning fees are also increasing pro rata....

With TEU traffic up from circa 1M in 2019 to 1.3M in 2020 that bodes well for WSG.
The phenol phase of the works are ahead of schedule and are due to be completed in September of this year so another berth will come on line. If growth continues this year Tema could see circa 1.5M TEU's being processed, 50% up on 2019 when our contracted started.--- and with infrastructure in place to handle 3.5MTEU's.
The good news for WSG, is that any increase in volume and scanning 'revenue' goes straight to our bottom line as costs on the ground are fixed given that the buildings, scanners and staff are all in place.
Last October Tema was added to another round trip port itinerary, which will also support further TEU traffic growth this year.

Yawn...
How about ..." Dear Mr USA.... just because you choose to unilaterally with draw from the JCPOA it is illegal for you to threaten other countries with economic sanctions they continue to do business with Iran,.. who .. were acting in accordance with the agreement..... just because you don't like them and you are a bully."
Oh,.. and how about we storm our own congress and kill a few people. Still at least our buddy in Europe ,.. Mr Macron is doing well,.... err,...oh no,... he's in jail for fraud...
DAC..
Nonsense again...
"...You keep the illusion going that they are clocking up Air Miles.... when the truth will probably be much different.."
Where did I say that people are clocking up Air Milses.. I never said any such thing. I pulled you... when you said no-one is travelling anywhere without a vaccination. Having been pulled,.. you now seem to agree with me that your comment was a lie! Numpty.... and now you are trying to make it out that I was the one saying air travel was on the up.
You truly are a plank.
Iggy bin for you. Bye bye.
PS.. the only money we presently make from foot fall at airports is SL,... pax circa of 120K /annum....--- last year the first quarter was a record,... 2nd quarter we know will be know will be nil-- ( although we did carry out training)... 3rd and 4th quarters when the airport was opened again,.. we have no guidance as to figures.
Your welcome.
Dac... you do talk b o l l o c ks
" PF and TB won't be going anywhere without both getting their Astra Zenica injections."
It is not a pre-requisite in any country in the world that you have to be vaccinated before you can travel.
Bigears..
So the audited 2019 H2 numbers at 312k scanned crates ( 6 months business) coming in at half of the total laden container throughput for 2019 was just a coincidence..................|o:
---
This was the first half years traffic with soft start up,... and based on 2 berths in use not the current 3.
Dac,,.... I'm not focussing on retail at all. You started talking about goods and sales, not me.
The only important number for us is the number of containers being scanned. We don't sell or buy what's in them, and I have shown that their is a difference between a 'laden' container.... and an empty container.
The Bank of Ghana is clearly focussed on laden containers because that actually measures the amount of produce entering and leaving the country.
BUT we scanned all containers,... laden or not,... and the container movement in Tema is now in excess of 1M TEU's--- that is all I am saying.
How many are in transhipment,... whether the 1M includes the transhipment containers and whether the trans-shipment containers are in fact scanned or not.... I do not know.
You say that transhipment TEU's aren't scanned. Can you provide a link confirming that?
