ozzie,... the NPV10 figure is one of the assertions in SOU's calc of 1tcf=31.50 to us,.... as is the 8$/scuf .....

It was discussed at the Norwich event also...by JJ,... so you can access that presentation and listen in and it affects the overall valuation in an equally critical way. There is tremendous value to be added ( or lost) by the outcome of these negotiations,... imaging bring in the deal at $9/scuf and a NVP8,... that would add 40% to the £1.50/tcf that the company has been indicating to date.ie circa £2.10/tcf.

... let's ponder the forthcoming September Trading update:

1 Should show further improvement on the pax at Lunghi as more flights and carriers have returned over the past 6 months
2 It will be the first full reporting period without the Ferry,.. ie since we divested ourselves of the operational services last September
3 It will include the first payments of the new $4M tech contract that we won earlier in the year
4 The monies allocated to "winning"/ enabling the M/E contract should be less than in previous quarters etc.,

Will we be back to EBITDA positive? I think there is a fair chance that we will.

The European Union agreed to appropriate 18 million euros to Iran Thursday to help offset the impact of U.S. Sanctions.

The announcement of the aid, which is equivalent to $20.6 million, is part of the EU’s attempts to prop up the 2015 nuclear accords with Iran, according to Reuters.

The U.S. left the Iran nuclear deal in May and reimposed sanctions on the Tehran earlier this month.

The EU has knocked the U.S. sanctions and forbidden European companies from complying with them. If European firms ignore the EU’s warnings, it has threatened hit them with its own sanctions.
Reuters reports that the EU’s aid agreement is part of a larger 50 million euro sum dedicated for Iran in the EU budget.

The bloc is trying to continue trade with Iran, though the country has said it will stop complying with the 2015 nuclear agreement if it does not see economic boons from the EU’s aid.

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said in a statement that the bloc is dedicated to cooperating with Iran.

“This new package will widen economic and sectoral relations in areas that are of direct benefit to our citizens,” Mogherini said.

Eight million of the EU’s euros (about $9.25 million) will go towards Iran’s private sector. That sum will fund small to medium firms as well as Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization.

For the full year we had c.111,000 embarking passengers, an increase of 14% on the c.97,000 embarking in 2016. The growth in the number of carriers is encouraging and we expect to see a continuation of passenger growth in 2018 as several new airlines commenced services towards the end of 2017 and in Q1 2018 Turkish Airlines also commenced services with a new route to Istanbul."

Looks like next meeting for EU when IRAN will be on the agenda is at end of the month. 30th/31st. It's an informal meeting and it will be interesting to hear what they say to gauge the mood. We are still some way off the second wave of US sanctions targeting Iran oil,... but it will be interesting to see how Trump tries to ratchet up pressure against the EU/3 and how we respond.--- and we have our own Trading Update in 4 weeks from WSG, on 21st September.

On 30 and 31 August, the EU foreign affairs ministers will, upon joint invitation by Federal Minister Karin Kneissl and the High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, come to Vienna for an informal meeting, also known as Gymnich. These informal meetings take place bi‑annually and are hosted by the country holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union. They offer the possibility to discuss important issues in an informal manner. During the working session on transatlantic relations, ministers will discuss the general state of relations and will probably address concrete topics such as the preservation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and possibilities of cooperation regarding the denuclearisation of North Korea. Discussions about South-East Europe will be aligned to developments in the coming months, with a focus on enlargement.

IMHO,.. some of the jobs advertised could be related to the Tech contract that we won this year..

Agree,.. ozz,.... not sure that it is the Aviation Contract,..as I can't see where we would need to be project managing the construction of building.... ? The only possibility that would make sense, in the context of the M/E contract might be if it was related to fright handling?... a main screening building and then possibly a distribution network of smaller buildings??

IMHO,.. more likely the other associated contract,..in the same contract?.... or the second MoU,... but the "Farsi" link puts it in that region, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan etc.,

Another interesting development though which bodes well,.. and suggests that there is plenty going on behind the scenes. I wouldn't imagine that we would be advertising for these posts,..using the wording that they have been,... " as soon as possibly"..etc., if there wasn't some urgency attached,... which, in itsel,f implies that we are close to implementing something(!!!)

Aiming,... I think they reported at the AGM before last,.. that one of the Mou"s which had 'stalled" was up and running again. I had assumed that it was the one that they are now talking about getting across the line by year end,... ie circa 16-18 months from it becoming 'live' again,.. which would seem to be about the indicative timescale,..given what we now know about the length of the process...
