I follow this board fairly closely, listen to and consider most opinions (only a handful of green boxes). I dismiss some as wishful thinking or over analysis, but many add to my knowledge and cause me to review my thoughts, it really comes down to doing your own research and trying not to miss something useful, generally I don't comment .
The incredible amount of in depth research I always appreciate, thanks to Rowka, Monty, A1ex and many others. I admit the detail sometimes goes right over my head, but these posters are researching in places that I would never even find.
The reporting and factual posts are also very useful, thanks to Tilly, JT, Mac and again many others.
This morning, led by some earlier posts, my thoughts have drifted to missed opportunities. I would think that most of us have a watch list. On mine some have gone well and others have tanked. It would be very easy to pick a couple that have done well and say I missed out, I may have chosen to go with the ones that tanked though. My choice, and that is the important thing, was to sit tight here. I am even more confident after Thursday's RNS that it was the correct choice.
People investing in AIM should accept there are risks. The other end of the spectrum is savings accounts. A quick check will tell you that the best easy access accounts will pay about 0.5% per annum. So, if I get 10% on my 'risky shares' that's the equivalent of 20 years interest (ignoring compound interest and inflation). Most people on mere are expecting 250 to maybe 500% from where we are now from the FSP. That's centuries worth of interest. I won't bother with the savings account thanks.
Buy, sell, hold.
Only your own choice.
Hi Crabby
Earache gave me a.... well earache, for suggesting that the DFS and FSP may be linked. I think he suggested that I was naive and suggested I did my homework.
My own opinion remains that they are inextricably linked although there may be other factors holding up a formal offer as well.
Earache, I pardon your honesty but question your comments. If you think the DFS is not connected to the value of what's in the ground and what can be taken from the ground, then maybe you should be doing your own homework.
As for the connection between the sale and DFS, time will tell.

I have been reading this board since July when I bought in. I love the pirate stuff, it's entertaining banter in my opinion. There are lots of platforms where you can discuss EUA, all have different characteristics, some filled with rubbish. If you don't like the pirate stuff go and find a board that suits you. As for attacking 'derampers', why not. If anyone comes on here with negative comments and half truths or even nothing to back their views, shoot them down. If they have genuine, reasoned negative views, listen and make your own mind up.
As for the RNS were all waiting for, my opinion, for what it is worth, is that a price was agreed around the time DLA Piper were appointed, the legal work is quite possibly complete. I suspect that the delay is that the DFS needs to be signed off formally before that can become a contract. Back to the house sale analogy, you need current local authority searches to exchange contracts, without them you can't get finance and they also form part of the contract. I expect the DFS and Sale RNSs will be very close together. Maybe in one RNS if that is possible.
Time to sign off for a few days. Keep positive, enjoy the break, dream of deep blue seas.
Merry Christmas to you all, even toaster.
Interesting that you should ask Earache what his point is, I have been wondering exactly what the point of roaster, Toaster and grilled is. After some consideration and far too many posts you can join your alter egos in the green bin. Too many words and no effing point!
Seems to be a gathering of people patting each on the back and reassuring each other that it's ok to be miserable.
I think I will go for a walk and hopefully, when I get back, positivity will have prevailed.
