Jimmy. After losing your chauffeur business, I'd have thought the last thing you'd want to be doing is investing? And not in a volatile, qiite risky stock like ocdo. Big ups and big downs. I'd be playing 'safe' in your shoes with £5k of lgen or similar. Rule no 1: Only invest what you can afford to lose . Can you afford to lose that £5k? Sit tight, my friend. Time and patience is key.
Disaster or buying opp? Only a disaster if you have to sell. Do you? If not, and you bought in highish, buy a few more (or wait for sub £20) and bring your ave down. Or just hold and see where we are in 6 - 12 months....
buying more if this drops to £20. GLA
Long haul. Nice play on words there. Depends if you're more interested in capital growth or divis. This should recover well over the next couple of years. Maybe buy £3K of these and spread your investments? Plenty of shares out there with good recovery and growth potential from this point in time... GL
will sooner or later be history on this board. Just like Hool, Proman and quite a few other sceptics over the years. Rocka and a few others "know" them all. All proved wrong...all left with their tails between their proverbial legs. Not to mention missing out on a fantastic and compelling investment opportunity. While ocdo isn't without risks, maybe NeilH should seriously think about the phrase: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em? Some just take (a lot) longer for the penny to drop. Oh well...GLA
I'd say putting £20k of your hard earned in this is a little more than having a dabble! I'm holding for a while...big things afoot, I hope...

Ocdo building up a good head of steam now. My recent buy at £23 starting looking very good. I can easily see this at £35 in the not too distant. GLA
their
starting to motor. Anticipation of results from tsco...Mks results...and people understanding how online retailers will be king as online shopping becomes ingrained...GLA
And you think tsco will stay at £2 per share after 6 - 12 months? With profits booming in lockdown which may last for up to 5 months etc?
anyone else think that ocdo is about to explode...and in a good way? New uk fulfilment centres coming on line, lockdowns across the world proving the value of online shopping and no doubt increased revenue for those using ocd o proven systems plus the almost inevitable signing of another conteact for a big overseas supermarket must be looming after a fairly low level of activity on that front for some considerable time. Only dark cloud is the patent dispute? GLA
imminent it seems (Scotland going today probably) so just bought a few. Might be tempting fate but I can see this jumping to previous highs and /or beyond in the next 2 or 3 weeks as it drives people to increasingly shop online again...maybe sooner. GLA
Brexit....wishful thinking on your part. Of course it will be a success...and other Eu countries will follow in good time. The EU will be consigned to the dustbin of history as a failed experiment. UK will be in an advantageous position as first to leave. So it will be Labour gone for generations...if not already...
My best performing share. Keeps delivering. Very happy. Bring on Brexit. GLA
at last. Been a fair while coming...averaged down from £1.65'ish so £1.05 will see break even. Onwards and upwards...even without the take over talk...
they don't stay long as it's path is relentlessly upwards...for the time being. an inevitable retrace at some point, however small or large, will see a reappearance you can be sure. for the time being...enjoy the ride...
is still under the radar of many investors. Any weakness is bought into in a very wobbly market and uncertain times. Enjoying the ride so far. GLA
correction: cpi swung to a £62.5 mill loss from £272mill profit. Quite a reversal :(
shopping habits are changing to online quickly...decline of the high street is rapid...boo are well ahead of most of the online field and have established good brand loyalty...let's see how good memories and "morals" over pay are when the autumn and winter comes around and/or there's a second spike...boo will take full advantage.
