The death rate of the Coronavirus is around 5 times higher than flu. Though they do say that the majority of cases are from people with pre existing conditions. The Flu in itself can be quite a serious illness for older and those with conditions. Roughly 150 per month die in the UK from the Flu each Flu season and 500 a month in the UK end up in intensive care through the Flu.

I think the problem with testing is ( even with the Novacyt test ) is that you could test negative for the first couple of weeks that you are infected. That’s why the only safe option is to have the 2 week isolation period as people have been tested negative only to go on and infect more and test positive a week or so later.

Any estimates on orders ? The last published data was £150k worth sold and possible orders for the same amount. I would expect to see an update on quantity soon. The company has increased in value by over £40Million since the Coronavirus outbreak, so huge volumes presumably expected or maybe hype.

Lol. It let me do a buy for £5 Billion worth of kit. Not entirely sure it could deliver that.

Sandman. You say £240m market cap. That’s an increase of £230m from pre coronavirus . So far the only certainty is the RNS that quotes sales of £150k. Worth of test kits. Not sure what the profit margin is.

The main problem is the incubation period of this Coronavirus. Even if you have it and are tested with a test that works, it will still show a negative reading for the first week or so that you are infected.

Seems a huge increase on such a small amount of revenue. Until another RNS confirms a whole lot more, then is it really worth such a huge increase ? They were quick to issue the initial sales figures, then no more figures released, surely as people would have you believe on here they are selling truck loads. I myself bought and sold in a day as I often make money on these pump and dumps. There could well be a further opportunity to do the same. But don’t be left holding the baby. Lol.

Can u tell me what this infectious diseases does?......PMSL......Its a ward/ department that specialises in infectious diseases. It does however have only 2 Trexler units suitable for total isolation. The UK has enough room for a handful of people in these units. God forbid it gets any worse we will be like China...screwed

100quid yes. I would prefer a test strip for people arriving in London rather than a clipboard with 5 questions on, which is what they are doing to the 10k that arrive everyday from china.

PMSL...First of all coronavirus in humans has been around longer than all of us. Read the posts, 21yrs in Infectious diseases and clinical trials. Maybe I should keep to the things you understand.....BOOM.....Rockets about to take off here....woosh….

Night Night… I work with infectious diseases on a daily basis, what inconsistencies ? We also have 2 patients with the coronavirus …….you get very grumpy when tired

I actually think the test strip would be ideal for airports. A strip that gives results in less than 10 minutes. Heathrow alone has around 10k people arrive from China every single day.
