NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed on Monday China's role in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, saying that China is "propping up Russia's war economy" and has increased trade with Russia since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Stoltenberg also pointed out that China is delivering dual-use equipment to Russia and has supplied 90% of Russia's microelectronics, which are used to build missiles, tanks and aircraft. "Without this economic support from China, Russia would not have been able to conduct the war in the way they do in Ukraine," he said, repeating that Beijing has "not condemned at any stage" Russia's actions in Ukraine.
