US President-elect Joe Biden has unveiled details of his $7 trillion coronavirus recovery package, as the Democrat lays the groundwork for America to “Build Back Better” from the worst Covid death toll in the world.

Biden today announced his administration would invest $300bn in “the most critical competitive new industries and technology” to help the US economy rebound from its deepest recession since the Great Depression.

Fauci also commented on Moderna Inc.'s announcement the interim research of its vaccine candidate showed it to be 94.5% effective in preventing infection, describing its progress as "just as good as it gets."
Earlier, Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE revealed the vaccine they are developing proved itself effective in more than 90% of the cases in the third stage of its trials.
