Paperweight: This should be a simple case of mathematics, and as UncleJohn suggests, doing a number of "Dummy Sells" will be of benefit here.
Please note that the Market Size for BMN is only 30,000 shares so there is no guarantee that you will be quoted for amounts over that amount. That said you normally do.
Remember that for 300,000 shares every 0.1 p is worth £300. If you need to make 10 buys at 9.99 to achieve a but price 0.1 lower than a single but you are saving yourself £200.
That said I would suggest the optimum may be either 50,000 or 100,00 chunks.
My last purchase on Monday was split into 2 * 100,000 trades.
