@SomewhatGullible - I did post on this yesterday, but my calculation was wrong.

However, having analysed this, no they will not be reducing their holding. I am expecting them to increase the pct for GGP from the original 0.66 allocation to a new allocation of approx 1.16 as of end of Nov numbers.

How does that affect us, our allocation in the fund as of 30.11.2020 had increased to 0.86% and therefore they will need to add the difference between 0.86 and 1.16.

As at 30.11.2020 the value of their holding was 48,399,472 USD, so I would expect a purchase of just under 17 Million USD
approx 12.6M GBP

@corradus - My guestimation was in GBP, but this was only in bed calculations in my head, so you may be more accurate.

That said, I agree with your new allocation of approx 1.16%, as I believe the Free Float will only take the GDXJ shares into account - due to the fact that we have had no TR1 Notifications prior to rebalance date.

@jdt990 - I agree my rough calculations indicate a buy of around £25-27M.

@SpadesAspade - It is really appreciated when investors try to source useful information on a share. However, in this case your findings are incorrect and flawed. The vast majority of companies in your list are institutions holdings of Personal Investor shares. Institutional Investors do not hold 48.3% of GGP Shares.

The latest reported number from Morningstar is approx 175Million (just under 5%) , noting that this figure will not include the shares added by II's over the past month. This number will have increased recently, as per Hydrogen and others observations.

Exploration Stage Change - From None to Active

Have not looked for any activity, and I would have expected an update if they were planning to commence exploration drilling.

£750,000 worth of Nominal Value shares. As the Nominal value for ggp shares is 0.001p that is in fact 750 Million Shares.

750,000 / 0.001 = 750,000,000

@B1ll no you are wrong it clearly states £750,000 worth of Nominal Value shares, so 750 Million Shares

@SpadesAspade - It would only be a 20% dilution if they were to give the shares away. They could offer them to the market or a chosen party at any price they agree, it could be above or below the current SP, and would therefore be able to raise funds to progress the business. Whether they utilise this provision or not will be down to them, but given it is the same resolution as per the last AGM I do not see it as a concern.

To answer the other point, yes we are basically saying to the BoD that we trust you to utilise them as you deem fit in the running of the business.

No wonder they are going at breakneck speed they must be getting desperate to improve production and costs at Telfer.

@TMT - Yes, Tongue was firmly in cheek with the 50p per 1Moz. But you got my point.

The note suggests if we only mined 2Moz this could be worth as little as £120M to GGP.
However, if we had 7Moz the final 1.6Moz of that would be worth £600M to GGP.

Needless to say I will not be going to Berenberg for Maths lessons, let alone a Broker Note

If they value the "Other Paterson" resources as $419M then this values them at 8p per share.

So for have they are stating:

2Moz = 3p
5.4Moz = 14p
7Moz = 29p

So they think the value in ground is worth either 1.5p, 2.6p or 4.1p per 1Moz.

Perhaps if we get up to 30Moz they will value it 50p per 1Moz, here's hoping anyway.
