UPDATE: Rolls-Royce has been shortlisted to build the UK's fleet of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) which is expected to create 40,000 British jobs and generate £52 billion in economic benefit.

Rolls-Royce, along with five other shortlisted companies - EDF, NuScale Power, Westinghouse Electric Company UK, GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy International, and Holtec Britain - will now be invited to bid for government contracts later this year with the winners announced next spring.

The six designs that have now been chosen are considered by the government and Great British Nuclear – the government-backed body driving forward nuclear projects across the country – the most likely to deliver operational SMRs by the mid-2030s. #UKmfg🇬🇧

i have taken on porky a lot and i do not like ramping too.

i always say , if there is news out there i share.

but i do not forgive for any ceo who can not get their **** together . people like you and me are paying for their wages day to day .

13 March was already informed to market but having actual money given to go ahead is positive news.

We just need SMR to be confirmed and money to be transferred to us so we can get going and bring GB from dark days to light days forever .

The damage has been done I agree but I really hope it doesn’t get any worse than we are now .The shutdown will hammer down again I think . As long as we can keep our head above the water untill results day end of November that will be good. If not we might have to have movember 😂
