What circumstances would necessitate the issue of shares on a preemptive basis?
Academic question from my viewpoint as it was reported from the City Roadshow on 26th July that there's no plan to raise fresh equity before any discovery...
I also thought LB said as much during one of her recent interviews.
First patient 5th cohort - 5th April
RNS 5th cohort completed - 21st June 11 weeks between these two dates.
So if 6th cohort started around 21st June, 11 weeks takes us to first week in September.
Could the 6th cohort have started before 21st June? I think only the start of the 1st and 5th cohorts were flagged up in an RNS.

£1.85m spent (excluding expenses) to date on the current buyback.
"The Board, however, expects to limit the total consideration for the Further Buyback to an aggregate of £15.0m."
12.2m shares bought back to date during the current buyback.
".. LDG today announces the commencement of a share buyback programme to purchase up to 112,352,944 ordinary shares ...The Share Buyback will end no later than on the conclusion of the annual general meeting of the Company in 2024"
Approx buyback period is 13 months - almost 3 months of that has passed - so approx. 21% of the total time allocated has passed, approx. 12% of the £15m has been spent and approx 11% of the max. no of shares permitted in this buyback have been purchased.
Buyback - up to 112m shares - max spend £15m - to finish by May 2024 AGM. Buyback has been running for about 12% of the max time allocated. Approx. 5% of the 112m have been bought back for approx 5.5% of max spend. Daily volumes have more than doubled recently so maybe they will have moved up to near those 112m/£15m maximums by next May.
Apparently aiming to move sp to above 17.3p :

The Company's net asset value per Share (the "Net Asset Value per Share") is currently 20.4 pence per Share.
So aiming to move sp above 17.3p.

"In a head to head study, AVA2727D kills cancers cells (ex-vivo) as effectively as bortezomib (Takeda's Velcade) which is one of the approved proteasome inhibitors on the market."
Good to see, on the poster, the structure of AVA2727D - the active warhead. Interesting to see how it differs from Velcade.
