Absolutely delighted with this. I’ve been concerned for some time that the deal for 90% of Hammersley hadn’t finalised. I’m really glad it is now sorted and on very satisfactory terms.

Some will no doubt comment that “shovel ready Q1” has turned into “in production H1”. Shovel ready and in production are not the same thing, and for me “in production H1” is if anything an upgrade

Personally I think this RNS is neutral. It confirms we’re looking for a JV for the KSZ, but we already knew that. I can’t see it goes any further than that. I certainly don’t think it indicates desperation, just that we’re serious about it.

So my own take is simply neutral. On the other hand, if our resident shorter (IMHO) tk95 thinks it’s bad, maybe it’s good

More excellent drilling results. It’s easy to grow accustomed to these sorts of results at Rambler, because the resource is so strong, but it’s worth reminding ourselves that if an explorer announced results like this they would rocket. We have great exploration results AND the ability to get the stuff out of the ground. Good to hear also (in the TB quote) that production is continuing to improve

I can’t get too excited about Ditau in the short term, for the reason Ella mentioned - they already have the fire assays back, and if they were full of gold that surely would have been RNS’d. Of course, it may well be that i10 is highly prospective for gold, and we may find a shed load in the future, but right now the KCB seems of greater short term interest. Will watch Ditau with interest, of course

I think if I was in charge I would focus our drilling on the KCB for a bit. Drilling the KSZ is relatively expensive and relatively high risk, which is not ideal in our current situation of no partner and low share price. I don’t think it will be long before we have Mindea back in the field lining up that B1 conductor, but it would be nice to have a share price boosting discovery in the KCB and/or a partner first

What he actually said was that before Hornsey’s report they were worried about drilling it, but not anymore. I think the point is that we now have strong enough evidence that we are on the right track in the KSZ that we could manage a fail on B1

It continues: “although evidence of chalcophile metal depletion exists and strong conductors have been identified that require drilling”. It’s just saying we need to drill target B and hit, which we already knew

Need to have a proper read later but on a first look this seems to be an impressive piece of work with some very encouraging conclusions

I think it will be an existing shareholder converting a shareholding into a spreadbet (no idea why - tax??). Spreadex would take the shares to cover the bet. Sound right?

Molopo - jeez, he tried to do a deal for Molopo, got hammered on here for attempting it, it didn’t happen because one shareholder in the company which was POW’s partner in the project wouldn’t sign up, months later POW produce an EM survey which gets people more interested in Molopo, now Ben’s getting hammered for not doing the deal

Wakey, it will just be a trader who hoped for a big rise off tranche 2 and doesn’t want to wait the small number of weeks or months that the re-rate is going to take. However, it’s a strategy likely to result in missing out here, since we have plenty of news coming up

Rock, I had a similar response from the company a few weeks back. I think we have to assume the FGS option was not exercised (or extended) but there is still a relationship there which offers funding potential, if at some point there is a viable non-fossil fuel project to fund

Did he say anything about conductance as opposed to conductivity? On the face of the images it’s difficult to compare the Molopo EM readings with those at our target area B because POW have presented conductivity whereas KAV have presented conductance

What do you guys make of ARCM’s copper in soil numbers at their KCB project (https://twitter.com/arcminerals/status/1559185237107789824?s=21&t=6eYLOv-ILNz169_CiRvEuw) compared to Kavango’s (https://www.kavangoresources.com/media-library/news-release-media/rns03august2022)?

On the face of it, Kav’s seem to be a whole order of magnitude higher, but I don’t know if I’m missing something? I know a few people here have invested in ARCM so wonder if you can shed a bit of light?

(To be clear, whatever else may be said, I know ARCM have other projects and wish all ARCM holders well)
