It’s futile trying to call the markets. It might sink to 2.20 but it might rise to 3.00 depending on what news and action is taken...I personally think RR is a long term investment so as much as it’s nice to catch the bottom of the market, very few people actually do.
I think a share offering will have a definite negative impact on the share price...AML is a recent example. It will dilute the market price but I’m not sure by how much. It just depends what price they offer it at but that will only, hopefully, be a short term impact. Those looking to hold for a few years will absorb it without much of a headache.
Advice from the more experienced members of this group...I’m looking to go in next week, there’s obviously no guarantees with this stock but where do we see it after Thursday? I’m aware that there’s potential for a share issue to raise funds as well as ‘potentially’ disappointing news on Thursday given that long haul flights might be slow to pick up. However, I’m a portfolio builder rather than someone who likes to duck in and out. All opinions (of the sensible variety) welcome.
Evening all, I’m fairly new to this group. I nearly bought RR a couple of months ago when it was at 2.86 but missed the boat! However, I’m monitoring it closely at the moment as I think the current price ‘could’ be an excellent price to go in at. It should definitely be an interesting week!
It’s a crying shame that this BB doesn’t have the facility to upload pictures so that certain people could show screen shots of their bull**** claims although I have a feeling they might quickly disappear if that was the case!
Clarkson could be a boost too as he’s not averse to an Aston Martin...stylistically it’s the DBX is the most attractive of the up-markets SUV’s but who knows what will happen...I’m definitely in medium long still though with 23 bags
Richard...it’s unfortunately the way we are headed which will be fine for the average Joe who uses a car to get to work and not much more and who views it as a perfunctory item but for the petrol head it will be a sad time...but the classics will live on with collectors...
Cadellin...I’m a bit old school...i believe in building up a portfolio, I’ll hold my hands up I initially went into AML for a quick win as I love the brand all the recent Internal events added up to me but I think this could be a long term win (maybe not on the same scale as Tesla) but can you imagine a world without AML...the next stage will be the electric range. However as electric vehicles become more prolific there are plenty of petrol heads out there that want to hear/feel a V8/V12 engine before they die a death...
There’s loads of good advice on here Roxbury and I’d like to think we’re here to share info with each other. There are the idiots who want to cause chaos admittedly but they are generally few and far between.
Cadellin....excellent video! Extremely accurate sentiments! I bought Tesla in 2011 and held and will continue to hold till they lower me into the ground! Admittedly no dividends which I generally prefer but amazing growth!
You might be a bit late with your info Steadyeddy as the Covid news was absorbed into yesterday’s market and GDP figures would have been factored in a long time ago. However, let’s keep things civilised on here please. It’s starting to become childish how the ‘clique’ on here gang up on people who may well feel they have a valid opinion and maybe aren’t as informed as others but are trying to put honest opinions forward. This BB is not meant to resemble the back seat of the school bus in 6th form...a few people need to grow up a tad.
I tend to invest long term as I’m a dividend investor so the share price doesn’t bother me too much...AML is more of a gamble than most I would go for normally but I believe in the brand and the opportunity. I’ve never been a big fan of CFD’s as I prefer to own the shares themselves...maybe a bit antiquated but it’s served me well over the last 20 years...but always interesting to hear about the other side of things
