QL is the new office girl.. Could be a bombshell but lots of effort and risk!

Victoria is the ex.. been there done that and never seems to work out.. But hey, you still have a set of flat keys so may as well pop over for a quickie on the lunch break.

Personally I think QL should be prioritised.

Woken up on a better side of the bed today. OK so credit to Doc he sounds enthusiastic (although he should for 100k+pa)..

My interpretation is that Queensland is too early days and while rock chips are encouraging he wasn’t exactly rushing to say they would drill it anytime soon, which is what I was hoping for.. It looks like his strategy is to unlock the value of our Vic tenements.. there was almost a ‘well our neighbours have been successful so why can’t we’ attitude..

While this is a proactive approach (maximise what we’ve got).. it won’t be lost to the market that ECR faffed in Victoria for years, spent millions, and left empty handed. Haythorpe spent his entire appointment telling us how Vic geology was sporadic and why QL was better. Perhaps Tang & co preferred the devil they knew and that’s why Haythorpe walked, his QL adventure was losing support?

Interested to see the pipeline evolve. Could easily turn into another few years of nuggety hit and misses though, we’ve lived Victoria for the past few years after all!

ECR minerals is -78.18% year to date, you expect me to still sing la de da and get excited by Doc Holliday and his 'cryptic' tweets and pay-per-view interviews?! give me a break. It's not 'negative narrative' it's reality I'm afraid. I'm sure you recall how glass half full I've always been here, in fact I defended ECR time and time again and where did it get me? You are in defense mode I get it, but blinkering yourself won't change the facts. I once invested in a stock called SeaEnergy (formally Ramco) and refused to believe the game was up even when the walls were caving in. ECR bares striking similarities and I will not make the same mistake twice. IF, and it's a BIG IF the new leadership demonstrate a currently unproven ability to successfully resurrect a gold mining Co and get cracking at Lolworth then yes, I will consider buying in.. But I'm certainly not talking ECR down to buy in lower as some suggest, besides, the company does that to itself far better than any poster on here could! I'm still invested in the story and have a right to be in the crowd, the ticket cost a fortune!!

tbh it was only back at .33 because of the raise & ramp brigade who swiftly sold out for a mates rates profit.. What's ugly is they most likely encouraged small pi's buy on hype who'll now be 30%+ down since last week. Reminds me of crypto.

Anyway, ECR needs to find a floor (which I do feel will cynically fall below Ant & Dec's pay price - which would be interesting) - Things need to settle, hot money needs to sod off and genuine long term investors need to regroup and think ahead to drilling Queensland.

I don't want to see ECR being used as some novelty tax vessel for one of Doc's mates companies but it wouldn't surprise me at this stage. That paywall interview stunt was a bit low IMO.

Poor Craig and his legacy eh, sad times for ECR I genuinely feel for holders here.

The consultancy fees and lack of transparency thereof was the nail in the coffin for many. To see the sp dip 90% and have the BOD pay themselves Billy bonuses on top of salary was again, tone deaf.

And yes, I will acknowledge the recent knee jerk salary sacrifice, however as the early 00’s pop star Jojo used to sing.. ‘it’s just a little too late’ - that was done at the absolute 11th hour after squeezing the budget for years.

For them to utilize that though they'd have to acquire another business that is generating income. Can they honestly afford that? If they can, my recommendation would be a small equipment hire business and add the spare rig to the inventory.

BUT, the raise dosh was for Hurricane & Lolworth, an acquisition would just be far too expensive and distracting atm just to offset a bit of tax.

Perhaps Doc gets a cut of the new subscriber profits?!

They'd have to get a damn good accountant. ECR can't afford to buy a business outright, or at least on that would generate anywhere near the amount to be worth the spend/offset.. So some sort of jiggery pokery 'ownership' deal would need to happen surely.

I may be wrong here but I doubt a jv partner could benefit from ECR's tax situation, surely it would have to be wholly owned by ECR? Unless I suppose the financials of the jv were somehow funneled through ECR's books, which could be a tad dodgy? just thinking out loud as Tamer mentioned the idea.

10% profit is still decent if you suspect it will drop lower. The ramp didn’t work so I expect the pump squad are grabbing what they can get! Hey, a profit here at ECR is almost unheard of so fair enough!
