You did indeed James and you were right to air caution. I'm fine, I bought in the upper .2's so snuck away OK (albiet down overall from the 3p days ffs). Thought it could be different this time and gave the BOD my backing, worst case scenario was always that the rise was bluster and a placing would happen so this was in my list of eventualities, just the one I hoped it would't be!

An orchestrated pump to get a discounted placing then immediately hit us with 'deal at early stage, no guarantee it'll even happen' or words to that effect.. As shareholders do we have a right to know the deposit amount RE the tax loss deal? It could be possible to speculate of the final amount if we knew. Surely if the deposit has hit the coffers investors have a right to know how much? or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Are we suggesting the buyer somehow strong armed us into a -20% raise to facilitate the deal? I don't buy it, they either want it or they don't or we move on to another suitor.

One thing's for sure and can't be argued; the ECR BOD got us all hoping and expecting a pay day while orchestrating a discounted raise behind closed doors. The gung ho bluster over the past fortnight looks very disingenuous now and rather scummy frankly, suckered PI's in left right and center who are now down a shed load. What transpires long term will shape the company but they tricked the market into expecting good news and gave a raise instead.

While GGP won't be mining Hav itself in the short term (unless expedited as/when we take control) surely confirmation of official ownership will mean the market has to somewhat value the potential of what they will eventually extract more seriously? - I personally think when news flows that GGP are pouring their own shiny stuff (from the Tef stockpile) the sp will respond very well.. A bit annoyed I topped up at 6.2 just before the dip to 5.2 but hey ho shouldn't matter a jot soon! GLA
