RE: Still waiting13 Oct 2019 20:47
It is frustrating, but for good reasons, VR has gained ground over the last 2.5 years and so have MelodyVR, however the market has still to be convinced, as reported several competitors have already retreated and laid off staff, Oculus launched the GO with limited uptake the Quest was launched and received with more enthusiasm, but the real uptake in numbers was the ‘free viewer’, so the immediate future for ‘non gaming’ is somewhere in between!! MelodyVR have to launch a VR Viewer with its partners, the quality of the optics has to be excellent with an easy to use interface. Match this with a diverse lineup of music artists which will encourage a new clientele to sign up to a subscription.
To extend and reinforce the VR offerings, they joined up John Gore productions to offer the same or a New clientele a unique experience of theatre in their own home.
So to reflect, New VR Viewer, New Music content, New Theatre Productions, Integrated Subscription & Payment System, Signed Contracts, Agreed Timetable of Artists for Live Shows with all the Technology tested and integrated with several worldwide distribution networks. The board has attracted investors, fantastic staff, raised funds and maintained cash flow, demonstrated several ‘one off’ events and still maintained confidence with industry partners, all in the last 30 months!! Yes, it’s frustrating, but it’s calculated and building to be a great success.........for all LTH!!! GLA
