Thanks for all your informative posts. I don't post much these days but always like to look in. Ideagen have been (and remain) a buy and hold stock for me. Quality company, diverse customer base, making profits and paying Divis amongst other things. Not many on aim can claim that. ATB

TPG to provide independent support to Army HQ under another MoD contract win. Just 4 technicians involved initially and no indication of contract value as far as I can see but nevertheless, another vote of confidence in TPG from the MoD. ATB

Yesterday, the Govt announced that work is due to start next week on the construction of 4 new nuclear subs. BAE systems are the main contractor (a customer of TPG) and 'several hundred' suppliers are expected to be involved. This should be good news for TPG and could be linked to the Govt' s transparency notices issued in July and August. ATB

On both the Interims and first significant large scale contract package for Thermal Systems division. Not to forget �150m of pipeline. Costs under control, turned corner to achieve breakeven EBITA, cash reserves increased to �7.5 m, impressive client base and TPG are in a market with growing demand. The CEO has transformed this company from a typical AIM outfit, pumping investors for money to support pie in the sky projects, to a business making real things for real customers for real money. Quite right. Meanwhile couldn't resist a response to Monty's unashamed plugging of 2 companies. First company: CFO has jumped ship and CMA are investigating 2 recent acquisitions, hence, I suspect the reason for the drop in SP. Company 2 are in the oil and gas business. First profit this year since 2009 as a result of an acquisition but this acquisition is the sole source of income. Not really a good business strategy, particularly bearing in mind the challenges and risks facing such enterprises. Maybe this is what Monty mean't when he referred to companies going down the acquisition trail to hide a failing business? Either way, I wish all companies well but simply cannot understand why posters would seek to come on boards in which they hold no shares. Sour grapes maybe? ATB

If you do some detailed research Monty, you'll see how much progress TPG has made in the last 2 years. Breakeven EBITA by end 2016 is a realistic prospect. ''Not having made a profit in the last 3 years'' is a very simplistic basis for assessing future prospects and to imply that the business model is anything like Quindell's says it all.

Proposed 'reduction of Capital' releases funds set aside based on the nominal value of shares (in this case, 10p/share) to the business. Reducing the nominal value to 1p means: (a) Approx 90% of the shareholder funds would be available to the business to support a dividend or return of capital to shareholders (RNS indicates TPG' s intentions) (b) The company has more room to manoeuvre if it wishes to issue more shares for employee incentive schemes or acquisitions (again, covered in the RNS) because at the moment, if the company wished to issue shares, they can't discount below 10p. Overall, seems sensible to me.

There has been some speculation on this board that Friday's RNS was clarification of a previous announcement. Yesterday I received the following from Vigo Communications on behalf of TP Group (09:10 on 06/08/2016): 'Thank you for your email. I can confirm yesterday's announcement relates to a different contract. The announcement of 4th July relates to an asset availability service contract for Submarine Air Purification (7 years, �27.8m). Yesterday's announcement is a separate contract with the MoD for COGS systems for UK submarines (8 years, c �22.64m). We appreciate both announcements were structured to a standardised template and apologise for any confusion. To confirm, TP Group is now listed on two single-source MoD contracts with a potential value of c �50m, pending successful negotiation.' Clearly everything depends on 'successful negotiations' but the MoD are not putting this work out to tender, hence the requirement to issue a transparency notice. If anyone still thinks the RNS relates to the transparency notice of 4th July, you may wish to contact TPG yourselves via the investor section of their website. ATB

You could be right but not sure this is clarification of 4th July's RNS so I've e-mailed TPG to check. Can't see why MoD would need to issue a further transparency notice. ATB

Aaa...hello Rocal. Yes, I'm still in here - don't bother posting much anywhere these days but often look in. It must be 3 years now since I first invested in TPG but have stuck with it and feel we've made significant progress since the DGC hype days. The future prospects for increased revenues against the backdrop of cost control look good imo. All the best. Mega
