If you would like to ask our webinar guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund a question please submit them here.
Acker we will have to re-name you Ackurate :)
.32p you called it spot on.
I really hope George doesn’t screw us again on the RNS as promised. In the stockbox interview he said “we don’t even need the end of Feb”
I hope he’s not a liar.
Great report! Thanks!
So the 6.4p per share the large SHG were asking for is perfectly reasonable and represents a large discount from the $500m valuation. It would be the equivalent of around a $290 million sale value. Double the insulting $130m figure quoted in the RNS.
Its not just Anavio who lose.
As far as we know Tosca still hold 13%?
And ‘single entity’ who took 24.5% from Anavion to save them holding almost 50% may still hold thar amount.
Plus any other institutional large holders. The rest amounts to around 37% I doubt that's all PIs. Thats after you subtract Large Shareholder group which is only 8%.
Those other large holders no longer have time to dump all those shares on PIs, and I doubt PIs would want them after all the scaremongering.
Will all those large holders accept to lose?
“ does the 79p figure apply when it's simple bid, rather than a crossing of the 30% threshold?”
i’m not 100% sure, i think it only applies to rule 9 takeover when a bid is mandatory, then the lowest bid must be the highest price paid in the last 12 months.
if the bidder is below 30% they may be able to bid what they like, looking at what happened with curries recently. of course it would be unwise to take the **** if you really want the company and have the bid accepted by the bod
All this philosophising is wonderful.
Answer me this though. There was a rumour that Curries was going to be bought. However sp did not jump to a fair value or even unfair value. It only jumped when the first (low ball) offer rns landed.
So same here. Nothing has landed so price stays subdued. Remember it did leap up 200% or more from the lows when news was released.
If there really is a billion barrels of oil down there I am sure someone will find a way to recover it.
COPL was making $11 profit per barrel.
Oil is being recovered from shale sands ffs at a loss in some cases. There is a huge appetite for oil!
“ the claims of the secured and unsecured creditors which then stood in excess of US$130 million”
Interesting statement. Why mention the unsecured creditors they are irrelevant (to him)?
Also doesn’t that include the shareholders too?
So if $130m is to cover all, what proportion of that are secured creditors which must be covered?
What a totally $hit rns devoid of any useful information.
“Always do your own research and never listen to people trying to de-ramp the stock”
I mostly agree, but do listen to people posting genuine information even if it is negative, and always verify what they are saying.
Its not all black & white, ramp or deramp.
Listening to the negative posters too and verifying their claims saved me a lot of money and helped me identify some of the true bottom of the barrel stocks like VAST, VRS, WBI, BOIL etc. All of those are much much lower than when I started watching them.
I know hes only got 26% as far as we know.
What I’m getting at is if he crossed 30% its not optional to offer for the remaining shares it is mandatory.
Although I’m sure the rules are so convoluted someone will tell me there is some kind of get out clause even if he crosses 30%
