Just heard this news to I also have sold my my oil holdings. For me this holding was like the jewel in the crown of holdings and was good long term returns but what price will they get and who would buy at the moment is it even possible.This may result in a over self off and present buying opportunities for brave buyers.Will be interesting tomorrow for sure.

Add some at 46.2 happy to hold here .

Sold out at the last share rally think was £2.48 put my toe back in now at half original holding.The Phoenix sale atm looks good.

Looking cheap for brave buyers

It’s like all things get over sold over bought opens up opportunities.Sold out these awhile ago but looking at £1.69 area to start picking some up. The food side of the business has been going great and I don’t see that tailing off this part of the business will be worth MS value now and the rest chucked in.The whole market for furniture clothing electric etc has been selling off like people will never ever have money to spend again.Think I like to buy when stocks are better value.

Got back into these yesterday so over sold with the company still looking at bolt on acquisitions think the company in better shape than the market is pricing in .

These factors won’t make a difference there would need to be something wrong with there accounting to stop them going ahead with the offer so I’m just sitting on my hands.

I’ll just hold for now have some spare funds no need rush no point giving free money up and you never no if another bid does appear.

I hold around 18 stocks atm having now just sold my indv shares for the second time after having another good run up.Thinking off doubling down on my elm holding off only 2000 shares before results.Think they have only started there recovery after a good trading update have good inflation protection growth prospects and if these don’t start delivering share performance someone again will have another pop at these.

I think there just going to make the £6.05 offer as of this Monday in my opinion .Obviously there have been plenty of happy sellers at this price.I don’t see no white knight popping up with counter bid i can only see very good results and contract updates pushing this any higher.But as I’ve said sitting on my hands for now but there’s going to other opportunities to reinvest in coming up.

It’s just how investment banking works .I thought the results ok the early market reaction was to sell off probably because analysts were expecting to much .I’m very over weight on these can see these getting back to £7/8 area through the rates cycle just need to make your own judgment when we have hit the top.

Think this may pan out till results which could be good for the upside if there better than expected or we close any new contract wins ,as it stands £6.05 is the floor or they just get stuck with a holding and don’t proceed with a offer.

Well this was my favourite stock to make good return this year and next but looks it’s come early.Will wait now till confirmed offer if close to offer price may just sell as I do not see any other parties coming forward.Will now move Elementis to my favourite recovery takeover play.

I think they will launch an offer with maybe a final slightly higher cash offer then we would see price move to the offer price or over in anticipation off any possibility off other suitors entering the ring.So think I’ll hang in hoping they do push on with the offer.

Looking at the defence statements I think the company are saying there worth at least between £6.50/£7.00 a share.The only thing I don’t no is if the bids over the last ten years we’re cash or share bids or bit of both.
