The US is In dire need of Tests. The supplies they are going through up to now are vast. Replenishing those stocks will be a timely exercise.

EUA will hopefully be a formality as they source tests worldwide. The US, India and Africa are only in the early to mid stages of wave 1. Those who think the boat has been missed haven’t thought through the look of the new world and it’s requirements for diagnostics and therapeutics.

I remember NCYT at this point and all the naysayers scoffing a 1m order. Think about it

They bought a distressed seller at an opportune price and they are off-loading at a higher price. They are not here for the business model. They are here for the short term valuation flip.

They sold into this weeks strength and volume. When they clear the share price could rebound quickly to over the 55p mark as the heavy selling pressure ebbs. There is sustained interest as we get closer to the trial results so hopefully it wont be too long to clear the overhang

Don't get caught up int he TR1 timing - it is what it is. These guys will have flipped ahead of news - its not why they are here

I like your thought process on the future. Ultimately however I don't see Avacta getting the opportunity to show its full potential as a stand alone business. Given the figures that Biotech companies are afforded in the US with technology and research that is not as well evolved as ours, both COVID and Cancer, it will only be a matter of time before a BID by a large pharma to steal the real upside away from us. They may pay £5 a share but over the long term that is potentially only a fraction of what the company can be worth

Totally agree Captain. The reference was more towards the momentum and the attractiveness in the COVID sector

So when the spikes start to occur across the UK - similar to Leicester - and more localities go into lockdown, what will be the demand for testing.

Seems like retail investors have got bored with the COVID plays and have moved off elsewhere to buy the momentum stocks. The pendulum will swing back when the news or the widespread lockdowns are reinstated

When the price continues to grind higher it will be interesting to see how the Market Makers slap an NT on buys and squeeze the price higher. The so called pump and dump is in reverse - this was a dump that has now started to reverse. Very early days.

Very opportunistic and possibly short sold to get to this point.

They obviously don't expect it to fall much further ahead of sales numbers. Conversion at these levels is a hell of alot more attractive than holding the debt. They are happy to move down the capital structure so they are obviously excited about the way forward.

This dilution is a great buying opportunity

Symptomatic of all the COVID plays at the moment is lack of an RNS. After several weeks of radio silence, traders are capitulating and moving on to the non-covid stocks.

For momentum to swing back we need to hear from a few of the companies and get the traders interested again. Its a good time to accumulate whilst the attention is elsewhere

Lets see this for what it is. Impatient traders happy to take a hit to run after momentum trades elsewhere.

When the COVID stocks become momentum again then the price will shoot back up.

Relax - after all the protests and lack of social distancing over the past few weeks - tests and therapies will be needed soon enough

Bigger players (those in the know)have used profits from here to pick up the offer at AVCT. The sell off over the last few days in COVID stocks makes sense as cash was freeing up for a cheap entry in AVACTA.

I am heavily in AVACTA at a very low level so p'd off a bit about the sell-off but on the positive side the drop here has allowed me to pick up another £20K worth here at sub £2.65 (never thought I would see this price again)

Looking forward to the rebound.

Yesterday’s rise brought most of us nicely into the blue.

This mornings trading constitutes a fishing trip by market makers to fill the background buyer who got the ball rolling. Plenty would have profited nicely by yesterday’s move so a bit of an easy catch for the market makers to drop and reel in sellers.

I’m adding thank you as the burst out yesterday was impressive and I expect 39p won’t be too far away
