If a partner wants 50% of the project, they must technically match the value HE1 has already put into the ground; typically through a Carry arrangement, where the partner pays for the next $60 million worth of drilling and infrastructure...

Ignoring this figure would mean a partner is getting a de-risked asset, an operational Predator 220 rig, and a Mining Licence for free, which is what would actually be "ridiculous" in an institutional setting...

The rig is fully operational according to company media. If an external contract hasn't been signed for the rig by June, it suggests HE1 is keeping the rig free for their own use should a partner demand immediate mobilisation. Conversely, an RNS announcing a Third-Party Rig Hire would be a signal that the farm-out negotiations are expected to take several months, and the company is moving to protect its cash runway ($5.1M as of the last interim report)...

That would be like allowing your kids to play on the M25...then hoping they make it back for dinner.

At this stage people should ask themselves "what will I regret more, being patient and tying up money here I could invest elsewhere, or taking it out and missing the boat?"
