Excellent analysis. Even better advice.
OOOOOooooooooooops TYPO I meant ......AREN'T STUPID.
Patience. Patience. Look at the volumes. I really believe the experienced management team, now added to, who have also bought shares aside their 'bonuses' are stupid. You can either drip feed good news/bad news or a big bang say at next update late July/early August. I suspect we had the bad news last time and the next will be the good. HOLD ON FOR THE RIDE.Just because your horse started at the front, now near the back does not mean the jockey and trainer won't win in the end......some bookies win, some shorts lose.
N100CKA Children children. What a use of a forum for serious chat about investments and this share in particular. At least the filter button is useful.
If you are correct, and wonder where you have heard this?, that is not too long to wait. I would expect, as most do, this would be on their shareholder/investor calendar.
I have searched through their Investor Section and cannot find any dates for a Trading Update. Does anyone know the historical dates which may, hopefully, indicate when the next on is...or do they have the information. Apart from a few contract wins of between £2-20m, I see nothing of any meaningfulness; a £5m contract for a multi billion pound business is peanuts. Perhaps they are storing up all the good news for a big bang to stuff the shorters...after all DW is sitting on large loss. PS I have £10K invested here at 93P
I am sure that the B O D know the direction of travel on this and other items; they liaise with FCA etc. Don't forget the share purchases by DW etc circa 90P. Capita just sold off part of their business. Market generally down today. Unlike the NHS, sounds like we need more PATIENCE
Some have commented on Ms White's comment that it is the private investor driving this share price up and down. I feel she may be right as the large holdings held by the corporate investors do not buy and sell daily.......people like us do....as do Shorters. I put my faith in those, like myself, who hope for a quick profit but also happy with a medium to long term view. If you are scared of paper losses, or need to realise a paper loss.........don't buy shares? When asked how he made his fortune, Rothschild said: 'I always sold too soon' !!
Please, even if someone posts an inane comment, or ridiculous hypothesis, or makes errors in calculations, or is derogatory to others use the best weapon you have; THE FILTER BUTTON. Please do not fall to their level. Oh, and not a bad end to the day?
TROLLS. TIME WASTERS. ETC. Yes, please follow this advice. I have blocked anyone who does not make a considered or constructive contribution to investments. PS I have 10K in IRV and bought at 93P.....happy to sit tight.
As someone helpfully posted, there is a filter on here. I block anyone who makes stupid, relevent comments....meta being one. I mean, you judge turning up to an AGM on what food is on offer....either it's tongue in cheek, or serious, not what most on here want to read. BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK
Absolutely......Warren Buffet would not have got where he is today...or The Rothchilds...or any other successful investor, big or small, posting anything other than constructive and appropriate comments and observations.
on what facts, on what assumption do you make these forecasts?
If someone, probably an institution, has sold 2% in one go, and it has not really had an adverse effect on the share price, surely that is good news?
I disagree as what will happen is the government who are the biggest customer will dictate terms....you want a contract then review your B O D pay and bonuses.....simples!
Never forget.....for every seller there has to be a buyer, and every buyer a seller. When a more people want to buy than sell, the price goes up to tempt the seller, and vice versa. When there is an equal sell/buy ratio the price stagnates and that is what is happening. It is called 'The Law of Supply and Demand' and is the basics of all Economic Theory. Frustrating as this is, I would take it in a positive light...........soon that demand ( probably driven by shorts closing or reducing their positions, will be greater than the sellers are wiling to part with their shares for......and then it is onwards and upwards. I M H O
What, why these two massive buys? shorts?
Looks like no trades or changes in price in over 20 minutes...what's going on?
