Easy going shark.
From memory £2-52 is a notable price…if this holds it should mean a push up further.
Maybe Newdealz can assist😎

Red
TMS "Redceo - The full paragraph reads as follows….."We therefore believe that now is a good time to consider the longer-term future of the universal service, ahead of any future review of the regulatory framework"
I was aware of the full content. Had they said "reconsider" rather than "consider" I would have been more optimistic of an imminent change of policy.
Let's wait and see!
I would hazard a guess the penny has dropped, things cannot go on as they are,the realisation that Royal Mail are putting up stamp prices again by quite a bit, puts out the narrative to Ofcom that the figures do not add up for Royal Mail,if they keep putting up prices then people will resist sending mail even more, making the problem worse.
The writing is now on the wall, either the uso gets changed or prices just carry on rising .
The last bleeting from the postie, the uso and lapsing is about to be drowned out by shareholders shouting …SHOW ME THE MONEY

APPOINTMENT OF NEW GROUP CEO INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTIONS SERVICES
Dear Colleagues,
After a significant period where the company has been without leadership and direction, the appointment of new Group CEO Martin Seidenberg is cautiously welcomed.
We also await with interest, the forthcoming appointment of the Royal Mail CEO.
The truth is though, this is not a time for words. It is a moment for actions. If we do not see a complete shift from the attitudes and approach of the current senior management team then this company has no future.
We are now well beyond the fall out from an industrial dispute. We are into the territory where the strategy of the company’s current leadership is destroying quality of service and the universal service obligation, has completely eroded the trust of the workforce and put Royal Mail in the most serious position in it’s 500 year history.
CWU members overwhelmingly endorsed the Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth agreement little over a week ago. They are seeing and feeling no change at local level. We have seen breaches of the agreement both material and in spirit. This is unprecedented so early into an agreement. Whilst our members want to move on from the dispute, senior management cannot shake off their union busting mentality. The new CEO has to oversee a significant change in both personnel and approach.
We are absolutely committed to working with the new CEOs and improving industrial relations but the union must also focus on our own actions. We cannot just sit back hoping for better.
Our strategy will be built upon the following key principles:
1. Immediate re-engagement with our reps and members in the workplace.
2. How we counter and challenge Royal Mail senior managements approach.
3. Putting forward CWU solutions to turn around the fortunes of the company.
Yesterday, we held a senior field officials briefing and on Tuesday we have a national briefing which will bring together representatives from every branch in the UK.
We are putting in place plans to brief all of our local representatives.
We are going to organise, recruit and drive the positive change we want to see in every workplace.
Our Postal Executive and Divisional Reps will oversee the restoration of the IR Framework alongside the development of our own agenda. We will not be sitting back and waiting for Royal Mail to table their plans. We will be on the front foot and demanding things such as more innovative attendance patterns.
Once we have met all of our representatives we will host an open session with our members where you will be able to input into this strategy but crucially we will give you a role too. We need reps in every office. We need union committees in every office. We need CWU advocates in every office and we need all new entrants to join the union.Every single one of us has a role to play in winning in the workplace.
Yours sincerely,
Dave Wa

we are the union
we will not be beaten
they can’t survive without us
change won’t happen
late start and finish times can’t be put in place
our conditions won’t be changes
we will get a good pay rise
solidarity
i said the company have a plan and was laughed at.

Anger
You forgot buy a boat in MADERIA 😎
Don’t forget, all you rich posties are invited next week to the savoy in MADERIA for drinks and a bite to eat while maintenance is carried out.
Strict rules at reception or you won’t get past the door man in top hat.
No cwu bobble hats.
No red bags.
No wobbly hips
No limpers
You will be treated like you’re treated at work, with respect and dignity, but maybe asked to post leaflets to at least 500 rooms within an hour.
Ps..anyone missing out on £75 overtime,I will cover this upto a max of 50 people🤩
See you all soon
Simon
Postie foooooked on a yes.
Postie foooooked on a no.
In fact postie totally fooooked.
anger
my point really was the cwu are now up **** creek themselves, personally i think they are prolonging the process so if there is a no,the strike ballot has gone away, not as much pressure on the cwu….the ending will be the same, postie gets shafted, but the cwu are trying to limit the damage to themselves.
posties fooooooked whatever happens🤩
Dealz
Which ever way my friend, something is definitely amiss.
Some body is saving their skin/about to make serious money.
Unfortunately you will never get to find out,one things for sure, the poor posties are being played here big time, they will be the only losers.
Postie fooooked on a no.
Postie fooooked on a yes.
In fact the postie is foooooked if nothing even happens🤩
looking in from outside, and over the years being part of negotiations both on the union side, and the management side, what’s happening now with the cwu and removing the ballot with a flimsy excuse, does any body else feel like me.
the strike ballot does not have long to run really,if a no vote was made,it would put the cwu under immense pressure from members to strike, the cwu have already said, there will be no more strikes,it looks to me that this is orchestrated, stringing it out as far as possible, then once the vote goes out it really doesn’t matter if it’s a no or a yes, another ballot for strikes…don’t think so…this looks like a covering **** exercise.
everyone knows the games up
it may yet fizzle out like a damp postie on a wet day
fooooked on a no.
foooooked on a yes
Not a major surprise really. Not what I hoped for but DW/AF accepting their members were IMO going to vote no and therefore making positions untenable. As hundreds of people have asked over the last month or so what is/was the CWU's plan B?
No plan B
Desperately desperate
This is going to be funny now
Postie fooooked with a yes.
Postie foooooked with a no.
Luv it luv it luv it
Even the cwu doesn’t need a rattle…can hear it from here:-)
‘but I don't think that the USO is going to be repealed or amended any time soon as the UK Government still has some four thousand plus pieces of EU legislation to wade through first in order to get Brexit done?’
Anger
Lol. You can’t have it both ways? You’re happy to bring up the USO and it’s failings and demand an immediate response from the regulator when Royal Mail aren’t hitting their performance targets……as this would fit the Union narrative…..but when there’s clear evidence that it’s not fit for purpose and needs immediate reform the USO is now sitting at the bottom of the governments ‘pile of things to do’ list?
Which is why Royal Mail have brought it all to a head and ignored the USO.
To can play at that game, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander….
The postie can go on about the uso till the cows come home,if Royal Mail chose to ignore it and think they have just cause, great…they have proved it’s not working, the cwu are inside with it being changed….Royal Mail will continue to do as they please until it’s addressed.
What else can the postie try and harp on about…
Boots don’t fit.
,blisters from all that rowing.
Let them get on with it,change is here and will be pushed through,as you can plainly see.
Luv it luv it luv it
The rattling is spreading
The current spec is entirely possible to deliver as long as the regulator allows RM to make a reasonable return after costs.’
Derek. Look at the publicly available information and tell me in which year of the last 5 years had Royal Mail has made a reasonable rate of return after costs on it USO related activities?
OFCOM’s selected metric to determine this is 5-10% profit margin.
The answer is zero. Royal Mail haven’t and will not make a reasonable rate of return on this dated, dying piece of legislation.
Nobody asked why people were degrading the sales of black and white televisions or VCR’s…..their time came and went. Like the USO. It’s over
Be careful here anger, most posties probably still have black and white tvs, video recorders and large pcs…rememberers there stuck in the past
Posties favourite saying…pre record don’t fade away.
Something there terms and conditions are doing right now…FADE AWAY :-)
It’s all quiet on the Western front.
It’s seems as though Dave’s ‘in the knowledge’ tour has come to a grinding halt? Not exactly vast swathes of information or opinion being communicated by the CWU? It looks to me as though they’re preparing (if they haven’t already) to check out…….
Wasn’t there supposed to be a critical live Q&A for members this week? Not leaving much time for people to get their heads around any points discussed…..
Dave and Andy must be busy getting sky sports installed into their under ground bunker and it must be a fairly sizeable task getting new identities lol.

I have it on good authority he’s booking in thousands for job centre appointments.
Would have invited him to MADERIA in two weeks but he’s blocked me for asking some to the point questions.
Posite foooooked on a yes.
Postie foooooked on a no.
As the rattler says….in my office nothing changed…
Someone best tell him quick,it’s around the corner and coming to a delivery office near him
IsleworthSpy - ‘Could you elaborate on "the steamrollering"?
I can do this one it’s easy. You return a no vote and Royal
Mail will pummel you into the dirt.
All parts of the current deal torn up and they will impose anything they want to. Including compulsory redundancies.
Union will be no where to be seen and in tatters.
Is there anything I’ve missed?
I can hear someone rattling
In my office
We haven’t lost any money through strikes
There’s no late starts
No late finishes
Executive action doesn’t affect us in our office.
Today the share price in our office flashed on our screens £1…
Hopefully in our office £1 will come tomorrow
What’s that rattling I hear…
