Why is the share price low:
- risk off market
- cash is king
- protect capital
- low sentiment
- everyone has been selling
- there is sh@t loads of oil short term so oil stocks out of favour

In this market identify those companies that have cash, good management, no debt, ability to ride out short-medium term market turmoil, better position than their peers in the market that they operate in, bombed out share valuations and then just buy and hold

Didn’t they just spend a few billion buying up some shares in major oil companies - job done - buy cheap, sell high or take a strategic position to build a controlling stake

So TLW AGM next week or the week after. Will they see a new CEO & Asset sales announced to be able to either increase production and/or explore in Guyana next year

i think one of the problems for shutting in production (aka Russia and maybe Shale) is that there is a danger that the wells may not start up again

Yes, the difference here is the share price isn’t even covered by the cash in the accounts and the large equity holding by AA. However, it doesn’t prevent the private equity sharks from making a opportunistic move and taking a large equity position.
Can’t see anyone taking over anywhere around the £20 mark though

Note that as we came out of previous oil shocks, the likes of Ithaca & Faroe were taken down and then snapped up by private equity. Both were cash generative & had no debt. RRE paying dividends and with very low shares in issue could be an easy target

Really pathetic of oiluser to post rubbish on the RRE board. Some of his posts on TLW board weren't to bad and informative. But to post the cr@p on this board just shows the depths that some people will go to to try and influence other people. Sadly for oiluser, he held onto TLW for far too long and has big losses.
RRE is the best oil stock going and he should of seen the light when this got to sub £5 and £6. Its and easy buy and hold - dividend coming in a few days and then again in October and likely acquisition at some point.
