Emerald - why arent you posting that WTI & Brent are up today, US oil production crashing (faster than most people think), OPEC+ slashing production from Friday, storage not filling up as fast as people thought, BP CEO yesterday said that storage of physical product wasn't an issue for them, wells that will have to be shut may never come back again.
Market is forward looking and 10p wont be seen again so that boat has left.

And exactly how are PMO going to pay for RRE. Firstly PMO are supposedly buying assets from BP by either more debt and equity dilution and secondly any hint of a company acquiring RRE will suddenly see the share price appreciate quickly. So let me be clear, PMO can’t afford to buy RRE

as i see it there can only be limited reasons:
1. We know TLW are progressing asset sales so Guyana farm out a possibility
2. ECO farm out Namibia
3. Is someone stake building ECO
4. Does the market know of a ECO transaction of some sorts i.e. are they buying something?
5. Exxon hammerhead news

Why would any company take on a billion dollars of debt to make an acquisition in this environment. Cash is king for RRE at the moment. I can only see a merger or BKR type of transaction ie one that doesn’t involve loads of debt. No one is going to make any payback with oil at sub $30.
TLW have just caved in and sold Uganda for less than they would have got pre COVID but that’s to a super major. It will be interesting to see if mid size oil companies do any deals in this environment.

Oil going up so must mean the oil rig count must have crashed and further OPEC++ cuts to be announced soon.
Also Shale production must be crashing
