Well I'm trying to get there...wish these bloody share prices would move north and allow me to get some traction!
HeresHopin: You have a finger in many share pies!
Redge I was concerned about the price you paid since you had so many shares. It's really hard to see you ever getting your money back and yeah those losses are substantial. I've been burnt on shares before but I bought these Capita shares at 152p so I'm in profit...at the moment.
Redge, that's a good amount of shares and additional investment so tail swallowing a good options as the rights were trading proportionally to the share price. Let's hope the share price continues to rise. The issue now is when to sell some and take some cash!
I dont understand the cashless transfer bit but if you exercised your nil paid rights, meaning you paid 70p for each right to a share, then these are fully paid rights and that number of shares will be added to you account. You will have the original shares and additionally the new allocation of shares. So lets say you had 1,000 shares and you have exercised your right in full, you will have an additional 1,500 shares so you total share holding will now be 2,500. All shares now have the same status.
jazz_01 Not yet. I'm with Jarvis IM (who operate this site) and aside from not getting my letter re the rights issue lol my trading account has been updated at every stage. The nil paid rights showed on my account and then the rights showed as fully paid. I think it will take time for CREST to be updated. I think there is a lot of manual intervention required. Surely your HSBC account has a record of your rights? I would contact them if you are worried.
HeresHopin: I know it's only one opinion and nobody knows what will happen. I bought at just under 1.52 and sold a tranche pre rights. I'll definitely keep some for the longer term and will probably not sell any more until they hit 150. although it is a little tempting to sell and trade on the share fluctuations. Thanks for your thoughts!
Of course you are not wrong damn you!! Still thanks for the info, I really wasn't expecting a bound forward like that. What's your sense of where the share price is settle post rights? I will a reasonable amount of shares on Friday and I want to hold on to some but just trying to figure out at what price should I take a little profit, was thinking of the 150 mark if it ever gets there. What do you think?
