How exactly will the number of patents rather than the substance of patents effect the appeals process?
Why would it be easier to appeal if there are less?
If PTAB rubber stamp any of the patents then an appeal is much less likely to prevail and probably no more than a delaying process if Samsung decide to go that route.

You have misunderstood the fact that if we brought 47 disputed patents to Texas then a week long trial would be impossible. The fact that PTAB will distill the 47 down to maybe 5(hopefully?), but 5 bullet proof patents,allows the best possible chance of success within a weeks’ trial. This is why Nanoco agreed to the PTAB process pre-trial.

An appeal is based on individual merit not quantity thereof!!!
