When it comes to investing, I find being a realist makes much more sense (and money) than being consistently positive or negative. You should try it. You only see negativity from me here as this happens to be one stock upon which I think the risks outweight the return potential.

Agreed. From the second half of this year, the comparisons will get far easier and the company will return to growth. At that point, you have a growing foirm, on a low multiple c12x earnings) yielding 9%, with positive cash flow generation and a zero debt balance sheet. The shareprice will now begin to recover I believe, and i would target £7 by year end.

'robbing Peter to pay Paul' comes to mind. Moving the debt around won't help. Adding more debt won't help. EBITDA greater than interest cost leading to reduction of debt principal is the only escape. That's what you need to focus on - no evidence of this so far though, I'm afraid.

Yes, it's been a long old wait for the stock to grind higher hasn't it? Hopefully we can see some sort of breakout here, and a return to the c£3 level last seen in 2015.

Why did it get panned when it came oout with a decent set of figures? Who Knows??!! buy good quality cheap stocks, and eventually the market wakes up. It often happens that quite a few investors wake up at the same time as well! Bloody marvelous!

Buko - was SS totally wrong though? What did the share price do over the period in question? How about comparing SS's views with those who thought the price would go back to 10p, or 30p, or even £1! Whose advice would have left investors better off financially?

Well brad, I've always found that the best way to 'look intelligent' is actually to be intelligent - at least that's always worked for me. You'll recall a number of 'countdown' pouzzles successfully solved!
Regarding your current situation, all posters on here including myself, were extremely sorry to hear about your loss, and posted so as soon as you notified us. Personally, I would never post such personal information on a Board like this, but each to their own. I'm sorry you seem to have a different version of events, but I do not recognize what you have accused me of in your post below. I'm also sorry that you continue to post nonsense about posters being the same person, just because they happen to disagree with you. All that said, I hope your personal life takes a turn for the better in the near future. I genuinely doubt that being an investor in AVN will form pert of this process though....
