Yep - I am at a complete loss. I've been investing in equity markets for nearly 30 years, and I cannot fathom how the share price falls on a set of figures like that. Stock now on a PE of c8x yielding over 7%, and with a highly upbeat outlook statement. Absolutely crazy!

Hi Dave. Well my end year price target of £5 looks pretty good at the moment. Bottom line - poor sentiment on good qaulity mid-caps where no fundamnetal changes are evident more-often-than-not provides excellent buying opportunities. Sure, sometimes it'll bite you, but generally you make good money oif you're brave in these situations.

So, two posters having an excellent debate, both obviously with good knowledge of the industry, and then in comes GCC disparaging one poster, and providing no rational argument or discourse of his own. Only one poster spreading bile here, and it isn't HITS.

So Woodford has sold, but who has bought the stake?? Has it been placed with a number of investors, or just one? Be interesting to find out.

...released a relatively upbeat trading statement. All spreadbetting firms up this morning. Frankly, I would only own IG and CMC.

chrismar - a number of reasons
- removal of stock overhang
- Genuine confidence from a large investor to take sucjh a stake
- Could even herald some corporate/takeover activity.

So a decent set of figures, but more postitively, management still talking about a supportive market. EPS of £2 for 2020 looks eminently achievable, and I don't see why this won't be priced at 15x by year end. On this basis, a £30 year end target does not look ridiculous. Cash flow is strong as well, and sharebuybacks will continue to support the price. GLA

Dan - all holders are postive by definition. Hence if you only have holders posting, you will only get positive views. Is that really what you want? A huge love-in generating a group-think mentality. In my experience, people tend to lose money that way, and AVN would seem to be a good example of this. The dissenting views here have so far been right in terms of share price performance. Not sure what's so difficult for you understand about that concept?

I was a holder Dan, average in price about £1.50, and realised the futility of the Company at around £1and sold out. lost 33%, but not bitter at all - when you invest in a diversified portfolio of mid and small caps, you'll get a few that bite you - the trick is to know when the thesis was wrong, and bail, rather than stick dogmatically to your view, raging at naysayers, and ultimatyely losing 99% or more. I always keep appraised of te stocks I sell because if the story changes again, they could be bargains. Not the case here unfortunately, but I've bought back in to a number of Companies where they just got too cheap or the story changed for the positive.

So I have a view on the Company, and it just so happens to be negative, for reasons which I've outlined here on numerous occiaisions. What is is it that scares you so much Dan? That I have a different view from you, or that I might just be right?

Romaron - you make some good points. Regarding the debt - S&P downgraded it to 'D' back in 2017 which is technical default. At the time, they believed that the bondholders would recover between 35% to 65% of monies owed to them in the case of actual liquidation, so nothing for shareholders. However, cash burn has continued since this time and hence it's not clear that the current picture would be so 'rosy'.

Difficult to argue with all of theat HITs. However, I'll bet that someone:
- tries
- moans at you to cheer up
- calls you a paid deramper
- accuses you of being me (and vice versa)
- threatens to filter you (but doesn't really)

Every time I challenge you to justify a post, I get some banal response, which is you effectively dodging the question or issue. I at least have a view which I am willing to justify. You add nothing here from what I can see, but I live in hope, so please respond accordingly, if you are able.
