The issue is actually what a sharp contraction in the UK economy and knock on effects for retail sales will have on the Group. The answer is know one knows, and the market hates uncertainty. Actually, the Company's growing foreign sales translated back through a lower pound should provide good protection. Stock fall yesterday massively overdone . BTW, won't affect SGP, but we really won't be getting a better deal than the EU negotiated. Why would we when we're a fraction of the size!!

No deal yet of course JMO, but you're missing how stock markets work. The share price is already discounting a very bad deal. If and when we find out it's not that bad after all, it will already be too late. For an 8.5% yield, I'm happy to invest today and live through the vol for the next year or so.

Well, the only stocks really holding up here are the stable businesses with lots of non-Sterling exposure - BMK qualifies I think, hence why the stock is holding up so well against other stocks in the small and mid-cap universe!

I agree, to some extent, but BREXIT means that risks are elevated, and this usually means that investors demand a higher expected return to hold equities. The mechanism for this is lower equity prices generally. In reality, weak £ is god for all companies who do business overseas which would include NCC.

.......this rally might now be a bit overdone? I think the market is now betting on a 'remain' outcome whilst I think the 'leave' risk still exists. On this basis I'm hedging myself a bit by top slicing about one-quarter of my holding. Also doing this on a few other FTSE stocks. Hope 'remain' wins, but I think the upside on this is now smaller than the downside on 'leave' and I want some firepower in the event of big falls.

Agreed. In fact, it's a trend hitting most mid-caps in the UK at the moment. If you think the story remains intact, then hold fast would be my advice.

Understand your view Long - it's certainly less diversified than it was. If the business model and product is right, then this is exactly where you want to be. If not, well, hang onto your hat!! I'm pretty confident though....There's an excellent video somewhere which talks you through the data erasure business, and I remember being extremely impressed.

...and quite right too. Once the BREXIT fears are (hopefully) behind us, I think we should re-test old highs.

I'm guessing that some of the institutional holders are lightening their positions after a good run, but also perhaps, needing to raise cash to satisfy some redemptions from private investors following recent market weakness/pre BREXIT vote. Either way, I'm a buyer below £10, and will continue to pick stock up at these levels..
