Those are fair points Madchick and Robster. While I've been in WAS for 3 years or more and decided long ago to keep averaging down on placings I'm afraid I tend to read ADVFN rather than LSE posts.
I hope you don't think I was being critical, my comment was meant to be objective and upbeat.
Hinckley being a nuclear PS is nothing to do with the Kalina cycle which can be applied to any power station;it's just a coincidence, but it could of course make it a far better commercial proposition. In fact, in that RNS JB makes this key statement:
"The UK remains a significant market for Kalina Cycle® opportunities and Wasabi Energy is currently in advanced discussions with a number of leading industrial and renewable companies for the deployment of Kalina Cycle® technology within the UK"
While it can be very risky to try catching a falling knife, I am of the belief that the Turkish acquisition is a game-changer for the reasons stated below.
And your comment Robster is a bit wide of the mark:
"PI's can't just keep pouring our savings into what is basically a bottomless money pit in the vague hope that 'something' might actually go right for this company for once."
Actually the problem is that everything is going right for WAS and the only possible criticisms are that the BoD have been far too generous with the options they awarded themselves and that they may have overstretched themselves with so many irons in the fire, BUT
With the new guaranteed cashflows from Turkey, if even just 2 or 3 of the projects start producing the returns we know they can, JB's biggest problem could well be the huge predatory interest that may provoke. Diluting 1:1 with existing holders (friends and committed holders) rewards their loyalty and is a great strategy for dissuading most of them from selling out for a ludicrous under-valuation.
Total respect madchick. I do hope you get back in no lower than you sold, but there were 2 1 million buys at 27 this afternoon and the MMs took stock in at 24, which augurs well.
BTW Robster, I was happy to double up rather than wait because I believe the acquisition is STONKING news and that there is more to come. As I said, just one project signed in the UK and these will spike again.
PS How long do you think I have been a member of LSE? Try checking back on my first posts on PINN...I bought WAS in January 2011 and my first ADVFN post on them was in April 2011:
"

it's all the stale holders who bought on the Daily Mail article all the way up to 3 or more...
be patient...just doubled my holding again..."
