RE: THE SPECTRA OF SXX24 Jul 2020 11:10
When will people stop comparing SOLG to SXX...THERE IS NO COMPARISON!
SXX was always going to be a dog. I bought at 2.5 and sold at 12.5 and then steadfastly refused to buy back in...
The SP was driven far too much by emotion and local sentiment. I live in Yorkshire and could not believe the irrational drivel being spouted by highly intelligent people.
It was a POLYHALITE mine, not Potash. The only global supplier is ICL, next door to SXX and why do you think that is? Because people will always buy potash in preference.
If you want a potash investment, Emmerson is cheaper, easier to mine...
SXX was massively overhyped. All the future contracts were totally conditional. Anglo American may have picked it up and we'll see but it was always going to be sold at next to nothing because that was all it was worth.
But SOLG has ALREADY PROVEN UP resources at Alpala alone that would make it the biggest silver mine, the 3rd biggest gold mine and the 6th biggest copper mine in the world...and guess what...ALL those commodities are in global shortage with rising prices.
And just wait until the first Porvenir results come back.
Name one major mining company that had a stake in SXX...duh...duh...
SOLG has two of the biggest in the world and no doubt they will soon be fighting with the likes of Barrick to pluck this ripe, succulent fruit...
End of rant and AIMHO as usual...
And in case anyone thinks ~I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm up 75% since 1 January on a portfolio dominated by gold, silver and copper stocks DESPITE SOLG not yet having performed...but she and I have almost 1.2 million at c20p...
Cheers to all!
