The last RNS (Hawiah update) was published on Friday 29th January 2021 & before that Friday 11th December - so quite common for KEFI recently to issue on that day of the week. What they haven't done is issue an RNS during trading hours with any major news - ALWAYS at 7.00 a.m.
Surprised at the low volume so far today - 30 million is pretty small from a total of over 2 billion. Not sure what that means in terms of potential news though! I fully expect an RNS tomorrow though (at 7.00 a.m.). Hopefully good news and not like October where it was all ifs & buts....
e-mail for Kefi is info@kefi-minerals.com if anyone wants to ask them about an update. I've had replies when i've e-mailed them in the past (from a chap called Roger) but it's usually along the lines of 'don't worry the Chairman has it all in hand' ...
All this arguing over whether Harry said close by March or April makes me recall the RNS of July 1st 2020 where Harry stated:
'TKGM is already in discussions with a range of Ethiopian investors and a number of international Specialist Mining Financiers, introduced by its shareholders KEFI and the Ethiopian Government, to ensure the required Project equity is secured well in
advance of the closure of the full financing package in October 2020.' - so basically the current consortium has been in place for 9 months and they still haven't closed...so much for 'first cab off the rank'...
I'm done on here - Smelly I don't know your true situation & I find it extremely hard to believe you have £200k invested in Kefi but I'm happy with my own reasonable holding. Having said that, if the company goes bust, as it could of course, then I can handle what I lose. If I lost £200k i'd be cursing my own stupidity. If you really have £200k you can afford to lose then you are obviously a smarter man than me, so what do I know...
Smelly - if investing is gambling then the Govt. wouldn't allow company pension schemes to invest your money on the stock market. Yes, the pension fund can fluctuate but ultimately they always grow over the long-term. My pension is with Scottish Widows and they've been doing that for 200 years...I know this isn't quite the same thing but a high-risk investment when you've studied the potential is not a gamble.
Caterham7 - In the webcast of 1st Feb Harry said that 'all parties have agreed to Financial Close at the end of March' - definition of Financial Close is 'the time when the Project Agreement and all financing and other agreements related to the Project have been executed and delivered and all conditions to the effectiveness of the Project Agreement and Project financing agreements have been satisfied.' i.e. money should be received by 31st March 2021 not April.
Sorry Smelly I don't gamble...besides it would be very easy to doctor a screenshot. If you really, truly, have that kind of sum tied up here you need some serious financial advice. That sort of money should be in a expertly managed portfolio - you'll find quite a selection on HL's website.
Smelly - I don't think you should compare investing in the stock market to gambling on the Champions League but yes Kefi is a high-risk investment. The potential for set-backs is quite clear (states of emergency etc.) but the underlying reason we have money here is because ultimately there is a large, proven, gold deposit at Tulu Kapi & we have investors who are (slowly) putting the money in to extract it. Having said that, if you genuinely have 10 million shares here you are absolutely crazy - no-one should ever invest that kind of money in 1 company.
That interview isn't 'new' - it's from 13/03/2020. That was from back when we were just waiting for ANS to pay their $9.5 million first tranche...It's been on the KEFI website the whole time. See link - https://www.kefi-minerals.com/news/videos
Even if it went up 100% this week it still won't have eclisped the year high of 2.88p. I'm here for one reason only - it's a cool company name...I mean the fact that Silver will certainly go up in the next couple of years & this company has a great Silver prospect on it's hands.
I thought this share was supposed to be 'going to the moon' today - we're only just back up to the level we were at the start of January...
Goingtomoonufo - I'd believe you more if you could actually spell the word silver correctly...
