Whilst waiting for 801 bus to arrive, MO's be looking at Caspian Kashagan field in 3.6m of water...

Sound familiar... "The top of the reservoir is 4.5km below sea level and the oil column extends for more than one kilometre. The seal is middle Permian shale and late Permian salt."

Wow... Oil down to over 5.5km.... 1km net pay zone... "Discovered in July 2000, Kashagan has been described as the largest field found in the past 30 years, the largest outside of the Middle East, with a projected output close to that of the Ghawar field in Saudi Arabia."

If Shell can get 1km flowing > 4500m, then so can CASP get 121m flowing..!!!!

Kashagan has 19% H2S that melts pipes, apparently CASP does not have this issue...

40 hour offload for 600k'ish, need to start 25/6 @ 04:00, could need more hours, depends on offload transfer rate

Allow a few hours for faffing, means does not have to start until this evening/tonight...

As Chilts points out, is usual for times to change, so can only watch and see...

FS Cygnus is supplying Kittiwake platform presently, so unsure if/when will be back to AK for stuff...

Think are looking to be happy around $75, is new $100 barrel...

Think this will be maintained post meeting, many fears of severe shortage of oil in Q3...

I know Kazakhstan have spent billions on Caspian fields coming online this year, so are looking for some leeway.

LOL all, Jan think will need a promise of at least a bottle, :o) MO often brings his own... We need to get to 60p first... ENQ have a very important two months, specifically Alma fix and Kraken sign-off. To MO Kraken is Key, must deliver as per original FDP, Alma fix is close'ish second. Is pretty clear... fix is the bonus. If all goes to plan MO will forecast ENQ producing circa 70k at end of August, will be in ops update. Obviously, this is reliant on AK sign-off, Alma fix, Malaysia x 2, magnus x 1 (2 maybe) Is more than realistic, if all works... Is approx 60-70 million shares on-loan that do not want this to happen, is the choice... Observers can at least see tankers and maybe Alma data... Very good point Chilts... Is why MO is being more patient than usual, really need to see long term in oil industry, new developments take years not weeks... Good idea to switch to gardening mode... AK is long life field and needs to be well managed, no cutting corners... If can perform like similar Captain field, then think all will be happy, still going strong for Chevron, even after 20+ years... Like said, if can average 45k for first 3 years (including DC4), is similar to original FDP, any extra is bonus, likewise, any less not so, can generate approx $1.4b for 70.5% if Poo as is for 3 years, is rough calcs... Morning all Pre #18 had more FS Cygnus visits than #16 or #17, last one left yesterday... Squif, from recall, sure full-rate lease is reliant on AK being able to handle all oil coming from wells.. Acceptance sign-off is more comprehensive than just production rates. MO still hoping to see a few more 10-12 day tankers before DC4, will look to #19, lol, never thought would still be tanker watching, but is life of observer... Good luck all MO

Is a test Chilts... About 34m barrels 2P currently remaining if MO's calcs are correct. Cost is approx $30m gross to fix, AB seemed confident when discussing expected rates when fixed. If can go to 8-10k extra, then will pay for fix in 3 months, rest is profit, well most is... Sure can take the hit for more frequent tanker offloads from Enquest Producer, lol... Imagine if had bad batch of ESPs, will be interesting as been issues for about 20 months. Could be installing new liners or screens for sand, can only guess... Maybe getting the hoover down there to give good clean... If see anything interesting will sure to inform, not expecting to see much on MarineTraffic though, just bits and bobs for MO's learning... Fixing Squif, lol... Hope so anyway :-) Looks like lots of probing and supply and support ships delivering etc... Not sure if extracted first faulty ESP, did say would carry out post-mortem, not sure if specialist on ship or back in port... Think will be a little while before all wells firing up... Maybe end of July, is hard to guess as not know how long will take and what exactly is work scope.. If TL is being sublet in Q3 for a month and a bit, then will need to be finished mid August, to start on DC4 in October... Good luck MO
