Don't forget hedging...

Will also negate Poo price fluctuations and bottom line...

ENQ had 5 million barrels for H1 hedged at approx $62, for H2 has 2.5 million barrels hedged at similar price (as per 29th May update)...

ENQ should produce well over 20 million barrels for the year, so H2 should benefit from current Poo more so than H1...

Anyway... is too damn hot !!!!

Move to full production licence

As previously announced we are able from 1 July 2018 to apply to move individual structures to a full production licence under which we would expect to double the price achieved per barrel for oil produced.

The MJF structure will be the first of the BNG structures to apply for full production status. Recent changes to Kazakh regulations have abolished the bonus payment typically made to the state on such a move, which is likely to save some $6 million.

From memory was a pump that was stripped down and was not mentioned during handover, that caused the issue when accidentally started up...

Can understand some frustration, MO's being patient for a little longer, certainly until #20

Have observed AK have two long visits (both spread over two days) by FS Cygnus and a quickie by Vestland Artemis between #18 and #19...

Anyway, might turn up sooner...

Did see FS Cygnus leave Peterhead yesterday late, was at nose today approx 1pm for 4-5 hours... Moving away for the evening, should be back AM...

Is why MO being patient...

Don't rule out Amundsen Spirit for #19, has stopped east of Hull...

MO given-up getting excited about possible candidates... Still look though...

Would show improvement if #19 this weekend....

Footy was great... It's coming home :-)

Re Magnus, did see Romaron's positive post about its sickness... MO reckons will be producing circa 20k bopd when 3-well plan complete, are really long wells, 1st producer completed end of May (7.5km), second spud early June (5km), then 3rd is injector.

Is a little quiet there today, has been very busy, imagine how much would cost to rent a rig for a year @ 100's of K per day, Magnus has a fully refurbed rig already there on platform !!!

Alma work is still ongoing, definitely using deep probing skills learnt from Kraken, am confident will do well...

Not much else to report...

MO is still being patient with AK #19, did observe more associated gas coming in on the April OGA stats, 4MMscf per day versus 2.

Maybe this is part of the commissioning for fuel economy, is hard to call, but will give at least to #20 to improve, maybe even #21, won't be waiting for AK #47 :-), certainly whilst everything else seems to be going well, fingers crossed.

Just wanted to clarify that drilling at Seligi commenced in early May, so is well underway...

"The drilling rig arrived in the Seligi field in early May and has now commenced operations on the first of the Group’s 2018 two-well programme. First production from this programme is expected in the third quarter."

MO does have a dot at the centre of this screen that am reasonably confident is the drilling rig, when it disappears is finished, lol, don't ask how long it took to work out ;-}

Licence renewal

In October 2017, we announced the early renewal of the licence for the BNG Contract Area which expires at the end of June 2018.

The existing licence is a two-year appraisal licence during which we must adhere to agreed work programme activities and any oil produced from testing is treated as incidental to our main purpose of appraisal with the oil being sold at domestic prices, which have ranged between $16 and $20 per barrel during the period under review.

Had we moved the whole Contract Area to a full production licence from July 2018, we would have lost the ability for further appraisal activities on a large part of the BNG Contract Area, particularly on some of our unexplored deep prospects. This flows from the requirement to have explored an area before being able to produce from it under a full production licence.

The terms of the licence from July 2018, subject to agreeing a work program with the Kazakh authorities, will be as a six-year continuation of the current appraisal licence across the full area of the BNG Contract Area. Additionally, we will be able to move structure by structure to a 25 year full production licence, where the majority of oil sold is by reference to world prices.

After deductions for tax, storage treatment and transport the net price expected under a full production licence is currently expected to be some $40 per barrel.

26th June approx 8am, is now just over 7 days since departed.

Have had one FS Cygnus visit since, was a long visit on 27/28 at nose for approx 10 hours, had a quick visit from Vestland Artemis for less than an hour a couple of days ago.

Expecting a supply visit soon, then tanker #19

Friday morning is 10 days, so any time this weekend would be ok and show improvement on #18 (15.3 days gap)
