Gold has just broken through 1900 again, if it closes above 1900 on Friday perhaps it will be worth staying in a week or two longer......your decision of course!
Watch for GPS (not GPSS) RNS alerts . They issue a NAV daily (24hr delay), with gold up an increase today is probable.

Perhaps I'm getting cynical as I age but this ran up to c26p when gold peaked above $2000 and the MM's could profitably unload their books as buyers flooded in.
With the deadline to subscribe at the end of Nov now approaching they may well not be keen to buy back having already made some nice profits.
potential buyers will also be aware of the deadline and many will not want (or be able to) stump up the 46p a share.

Best hope is gold back above $2000 before then.

The system used here is that anything above the mid price is shown as a buy and anything below registers as a sell. This won't be 100% accurate as different MM's will be quoting different prices.
To see actual buys and sells you need to register with (and pay) a site that gives actual deal information.

NAV reached just over 76p yesterday and sp has be stuck on 64p for a week,
Makes no sense except perhaps this stock is not widely known and no buyers.
I was listening to Jim Mellon of Master Investor yesterday, his view was get into gold and then forget about it for for a while

Nevertheless, now the facts are known there is no reason for celebration.
If I bought a new model dishwasher which then was found, along with all others of it's type to be faulty, I wouldn't be well pleased, certainly not feeling the least bit celebratory.
The company has invested money in some duff kit which will impact future performance, any other interpretation is wishful thinking.

I wasn't expecting to read this having assumed that the well paid techies running ARB would be across such "well known" issues before investing in the machines. Doesn't inspire confidence

I'm not skilled at reading accounts so I would be grateful to be told how a halving of pretax profits and some malfunctioning machines is such a cause for celebration. Whatever reasons there are to explain it, its happened.
Maybe I'm missing something, someone please tell me what.

In my opinion the HL site has really gone down hill recently. Brokers recommendations and recent trades have disappeared and news history is very truncated. Recent trades are essential to see the true spread.
The information is available elsewhere but if things don't pick up soon I'm considering moving on since their services aren't the best value either..

Anyone interested in bitcoin could do a lot worse that taking a look at Argo Blockchain (lon: ARB)
Based in Canada and running on cheap hydro, they're most efficient operation out there and currently valued far below smaller similar operators on NASDAQ
It will be a long while before they are caught by any bedroom operations.

Good to see gold has bounced off 1865 and is now over 1900.
Wasn't easy, but I'm glad I held on yesterday afternoon.
Will still be watching closely today however.

This has taken a bigger hit than mining stocks that's for sure.
Lots of small speculators bailing perhaps.
Now at 26% discount to NAV by my calculation, let's hope some of it can be recovered.
Gold charts showing definite downward momentum, lower peaks, deeper troughs.

GPSS not particularly complicated, pay 46 p for GPM ordinary in November, and lots of leverage in my view.

Worth considering at 19p today with GPM NAV at 75p. (19 + 46 = 65)

Just emailed Evil Knievil on Master Investor. I have a feeling from regularly reading his column, that this is something he might take up. Nothing to lose by trying.
He put me on to Golden Prospect (GPM) , which is riding the gold price, a few months ago, perhaps he'll take up Argo.

The early signs are that restaurants and cafes will not have the fast bounce back that was hoped for. Especially with talk of a second wave.
Can't get a live quote to sell even 100 shares this morning
Hold til the vaccine is available might be the best hope.
