Advice to Management

It feels the second coming of Liz Truss and Brittania Unchained - a leadership that lives a completely different life to its staff declaring war on their laziness telling them the pandemic and all the adjustments people made were a benefit the company gifted to them that they should be grateful for. Leaders need to leave your ivory tower for a week, try daily sorting your own child / elder care on a low salary, try finding your own desk every morning, try concentrating whilst there are noisy conversations all around you, try juggling inflexible school hours with reality of public transport outside London. Don't do it for your employees, this is the reality of life your customers have to lead, it would do you good to feel and experience it instead of just reading a spreadsheet about it.

This is all in public domain. "New deals" is the phrase for reduction of benefits. This includes - "new deal" repackaging of the bonus to disguise well below inflation pay rises. "New deal" dividing staff into different pay markets to disguise giving some people intra year pay rises for some jobs not others. "New deal" halving redundancy pay. "New deal" transferring jobs to India. "New deal" forcing people to work in an office (doesn't matter where or whether your team are located there) 2 days a week with Orwellian surveillance to police and ensure the company knows "where you are", in the name of productivity. "New deal" buildings with insufficien desks so you get told which days you're allowed in and may get a stool and a touch down desk to work at all day. "New deal" on flexible working, apprently the company is too flexible so new deal is you either work full-time or part-time in whole days like the 1990s. Apparently staff had too good a time during the pandemic. New deal sees disabled staff and those with caring responsibilities pleading their cases on internet forums and with management to justify exemptions, it's degrading. New deal is temporary flexibility for moments that matter - Caring for elders is regarded as a temporary "moment that matters" where you've 3 months to devise a care plan either to build a nursing home to resolve the lack of care spaces in your area, win the lottery to pay for it, give up work to become a carer or tell your relative to have a Lazarus moment and get themselves well. New deal: work late nights or the weekend and looking for some time back to recover - well tough because everyone has to work a minimum seven hour day regardless. What's not changed is leadership retain quiet private offices and an entourage of staff to support them.

Pros

Private medical, training Bear in mind though arbitrarily the company launches "new deals" which is a byword for removal of benefits you thought you had when you joined. It enjoys a cosy relationship with an in house union that nods through everything so the company can side-step statutory consultation. Whatever they tell you in the advert or on joining, you can expect to have changed if not before you start, certainly within 12 months and not for the better. Company ideally wants candidates of graduate quality (but not at graduate pay rates) in their 20s unencumbered with caring responsibilities and baggage who'll put in long hours to grab experience and then shove off elsewhere before they acquire life responsibilities like kids, elder care, disabilities and then start to become a burden and a nuisance. It's a blue-chip consulting firm transactional model but with pound-shop cheapness. If that's what you need at this point in your career then go for it. Lloyds will certainly give you more experience than your grade would normally command because it's chronically short-staffed so there are endless opportunities to step up and do things as long as you don't expect to be paid for the responsibility. Then after 18 months clear off somewhere else. Don't give / expect any loyalty or longevity and you'll be fine. Some people do well on pay advancement by flipping in and out of Lloyds - external experienced hires are nearly always paid more than internal promotions.

This is about Lloyds staff being treated like filth for the last 15 years. You have got no idea how poorly this company is run. Everyone is exhausted and not just because of the workload. Its fatigue from the sheer stupidity they have in management.

I don't personally see a problem with what GGG has said. it's normal for a share to recede back on no news with aim. If he's a large holder and like the Moon has some sway in the tides direction then set your sails and go with the flow. Just soak up what you can of the sails and don't let people buy back in as cheap as they wanted,
