MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND MINERAL RESOURCES G.DAMDINNYAM MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF “XCALIBUR” COMPANY
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources G.Damdinnyam met with representatives of “XCalibur” company, which is conducting aerial geophysical research in Mongolia.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the quality implementation of the 2025 work, the introduction of advanced international technologies, the capacity building of specialists, the improvement of research methods, methodologies and standards, and future work, as agreed.
The aerial geophysical project, as part of Mongolia’s “Vision-2050” development policy, began in 2024. The project aims to discover minerals, determine prospects, and collect deep data on large areas at low cost.
The study, which covers an area of 202 thousand square kilometers in the southern region of Mongolia, is being carried out in collaboration with the “XCalibur” company under the order of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Mongolian Geological Survey, and is aimed at intensifying geological research and increasing mineral resources.
At the end of the meeting, the company emphasized the importance of using magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric methods and techniques introduced in international geological and geophysical research to identify areas with promising mineral resources and to generate important information for use in other fields.
