Good to see that Ebel realises the two fundamental problems suppressing the sp and deterring big investors , the generation of cash but more importantly the reduction of debt. The increase in debt in the last report was a big negative so let's hope they walk before they start to run for all our sakes.

I feel less confident in the Tui sp now than I have done for a long time. I really cant seen any significant increase from these sort of levels for a long time , if at all. There are no positives to drive the sp up. I did see Tui in the medium to long term but not now. Should have cashed in when it hit 8.50 euros and cut the losses but that is hindsight and hindsight is a wonderful thing. Not sure where to go from here but seriously considering my options over the next few days. Tui has been a disaster!

I make that a 14--15% drop over the last 2 days. Heavily invested here over the last several years and in negative territory so no intention of selling until hopefully I can get to at least some profit. To say it's been a rollercoaster ride over the last 3 or 4 years is an understatement . How many times have things started to look good when all of a sudden we are kicked in the teeth after a Tui report! It's now getting tedious and it's hard to see any significant upside from here but we have to keep the hope that things will really turn good otherwise what's the point. What's going to drive the sp on though from here? Their reporting certainly dosnt even after what seems good data. Reports of bookings definately slowing now so that's not good. War in Ukraine and the middle east of insignicant effect now. So what is going to drive Tui up from here apart from debt reduction? I just have no idea anymore but I have to stick with it as I hate losses.

Not being negative but that could be a deliberate ploy to try and instil some confidence in the company because the sp is falling so much , not necessarily that he himself is showing confidence. You have to look from all angles!

Hello all. As per my posts yesterday , i believe the drops are purely down to debt. The debt in yesterday's report has gone up. By not showing a continued debt reduction ( as they have previously been doing ) they are creating a big negative around their desirability to big investors. Their debt is still massive which however you dress it up is not good. Yes it's good to invest in the future but only when the present is sufficiently good as regards debt. No disrespect to anyone on here ( as everyone is entitled to their opinion ) but many on here just don't seem to realise just how much a bad impact debt has on desirability for investment. Tui were previously getting the debt down nicely so they should continue in that vain and concentrate on debt reduction first and then investment. Let's not dress it up anyway else , it is debt which is killing the recovery.

Seems that bookings and momentum is slowing which suggests the upsurge in bookings after covid is over and a more restrained demand in relation to the world's current climate has come to the fore. I really did expect some reduction in net debt but i do take on board debt for investment as noted by others on here. I just think that at this moment in time it is more important to reduce debt first to make the company more appealing to investors and then invest. Only my thoughts!

No the market wasn't expecting miracles GL , but it was expecting further debt reduction which is key to Tui moving upwards. The debt has been coming down nicely over the last couple of years but to go up is not a good sign. Their debt is still huge and debt reduction is the number one priority for the market and to reverse that is not good.

Disappointing increase of net debt. For me the big negative for Tui over the last 4/5 years has always been debt. The big negative as regards driving the sp. We'll see!

Hi Mike , yes not too bad thanks , hope you are well too. I understand your reasoning. So do you think they are 3 deliberate buys to try and instil confidence in Tui and get the sp moving upwards? It seems a little odd that the CEO and CFO would act around the same time period to buy more shares. The CFO buy was at 8.31 so higher than we've been for a while.

No disrespect but the amount of the director buys are not very significant in the scheme of things. If they were in the hundreds of thousands then yes that would be a sign of confidence but they are not. Can't see much positive impact from these level of buys.

Hi Mike , hope you had a good Christmas. I think we have a case of déjà vu here with this labour government. They seem to be crashing the economy and creating pessimism in the financial world! I think back and remember how labour slated Liz Truss when she created a similar scenario. I just don't have any confidence in this labour government whatsoever and cannot see any quick fix which is why I think it will be a slow advance now for Tui. Maybe even a near to 7 euro drop. Nothing has been straight forward over the last few years and just when you think the corner has been well and truly turned , something else happens to knock us back. It's a funny old world what we live in but what can us little people do to make it better , well not a lot. Its all in the hands of the few!

Not much to be optimistic about for 2025 with this government we have here and Trumps incoming government in the USA. Hard to see what is going to drive up Tuis share price this year.

It's actually what I expected! I commented yesterday about Tuis drop at the end of business. Only around just over 1% but to me it just didn't tie in with any anticipated buying furore on the eve of results day. Gut feelings are often correct.

Bit surprised by the drop at the end of today! Only around 1% but expected a rise if there is anticipated optimism regarding tomorrows results?

I would think the rise is on the back of OTB which is up around 10% today after their good results earlier in the week
