I notice that Hasina is to address the nation today, to mark the 1st anniversary of her reappointment as PM.

She is to showcase the governments development successes and set out the governments plans for further development.

I think I’ve seen gcm sub 10p once and I managed to buy a load at 5p. Turned out to be a decent buy despite everyone shouting that GCM was doomed.

I can see alternative funding being in place here by the end of January but let’s see.

I’d suggest anyone wanting an update on the current state of play re-read the annual report. It’s all there in black and white.

The company doesn’t control the SP and personally I agree with Ginty, I’m not bothered about the SP dropping, I care about the end result, so if I can buy more at 10p then great.

Indeed, I think the proposal is probably largely ready to go, barring finalisation of the energy tariff.

I took my money out in maybe 2014 because I was in email contact with Nasrul Hamid and he made it perfectly clear that mining wasn’t on the table back then.

Personally I feel the tide has changed and it’s clear that Bangla’s future energy mix is largely coal based.

Also there’s been a marked increase in climate protests recently as these will only become louder so the longer it’s left, the more she will have to defend her decision.

I’m like you, I think we could be a lot closer than many think and I have backed that up with some chunky buys over the last few weeks.

Ive been out for a few years so forgive any ignorance, but I noticed that the annual report referred to a “captive coal mine” which means the coal extracted will be used for the mine mouth power plants and the lecky sold into the grid, with no coal being sold elsewhere.

I’m aware that the power plants have been on the table for some time now but has the company referred to the project as captive before?

Seems a very sensible strategy and one less reason for the proposal not to be accepted.

Agreed, but I think our agreement with Dyani restricts them to a maximum of 30% hence why 4% can’t be awarded.

They’ve clearly hit the milestones in the agreement.

IMO Dyani and DG Infratech is merely a vehicle for spreading the love.

The annual report is due in next few weeks, which fingers crossed should contain an update on where we are.

Unfortunately the AGM is merely an opportunity for the activists to take to their soapbox.

They buy one share to gain access and just try and disrupt as much as possible.

I wouldn’t expect too much to come out of the AGM, albeit the directors generally do make themselves available to genuine shareholders

Personally I’m not concerned about the SP. I never expected to buy in at the bottom. I’ve taken my position and am happy with it.
