Great news in the RNS , my ISA will benefit but, I am part way through transferring my SIPP to AJBell and its taking time for completion. From a purely selfish point of view hopefully the price wont run away with itself, and I can maximise my purchase once the transfer completes. Steady as she goes though and hopefully my retirement will benefit in the end.

Hi Max, I agree 50p would be great , the point I was making was that I could not remember the price ever being £1. Therefore I was querying whether MD-99 was referring to VAL or was he confusing it with another share. I suffered many consolidations, tried averaging down and eventually ended up selling at a big loss (for me anyway), so I do know the history. I have bought back in now that the previous BOD incumbents have gone, and I have a little bit more confidence that things may work out. All the best Martc.

Db19, with all due respect I think you are getting yourself a little muddled. As has been explained previously you will not Pay CGT on any gains in a stocks and shares ISA. I dont see any other way of explaining it. Take a look at HMRC website and read about tax implications regarding the use of ISAs. Google ISA providers and choose one that suits your requirements and apply for it. All the best.

Hi Mushroom, the case may be that the small buys are people constantly topping up, or being told that their trade cannot be done due to size, and having to split what would originally have been large trade. There are all sorts of reasons why small trades occur .
