I was watching prices on ADVFN at the time and all stocks on my monitor went into auction at that time and the price of Val was up 10%. It then dropped and came back up to evens again. I understand that auctions are called at certain times during the day. No doubt someone will put me right on this.

Completely confounded by the posters over there, what on earth is wrong with some of them? Does anybody have a clue about the background to the bitterness between posters and the referring to one another as the COO of Valirx? I know there is certain amount of rancour on here at times but they take the p*ss out of the right to free speech, with the abusive remarks spewed out by some of them.

No need for apologies, my humour is quite often misinterpreted especially by the missus. Haven't the dosh for any more so sitting on my hands and waiting, todays drops are probably due to a down day market wide so not too bothered at the moment.

Maybe you misunderstood my attempt at wry humour Splatted, I am as confident as the next man that this will play out ok. I think that this will be in action as of next Tuesday but that is just going by my own feelings nothing very scientific nor clever. Friday may see the start of the lift off, either way I look forward in anticipation.

Its a pity the price hasn't followed suit, maybe all the searchers were unconvinced by what they found as it doesn't seem to have caused any high level buying. Back to waiting .

Just had a look at ADVFN and price down 5% now, that's a kick in the teeth at this stage!

In reply to your comment Dadsbatty, there seems to be a hard core of posters on here and indeed on ADVFN, which suggests that either the stock is relatively unknown, or is being watched at a distance by others before entering into the fray. I for one am happy to watch things develop, I have a small holding of around 160k shares and like you would have expected a little more interest this week given the info from previous RNS's. Hopefully come the end of next week we will be a little closer to more serious interest and price movement. lets hope patience wins the day.

Would they be allowed to? As they are involved in the process of the contract negotiations, surely that would preclude them from buying. Just my understanding of it but could be wrong.

I believe he is casting scorn and doubt upon his so called 'City friend' and suggesting he check said friend, with regards to why, if he has such knowledge, he never informed him of yesterdays carry on. Could be wrong but that's how I read it, even with the repeated misspelling of friend.

Well what a day that was, first thing this morning a placing by NCCL and then last thing a placing by VAL. Both down 10% ish, the difference is that NCCL have actually got partners for their Coal to power project so the funds raised have a visible use. The boss at NCCL has also been on VOX today to outline progress and explain the placing so I am not too concerned about it. The VAL board however have made no indication as to who they are talking to and are very backward in coming forward to give updates on progress. I know that there may be limits to what they can or cant say, but as a result it leaves investors in the dark, and angry not knowing how things are progressing. I have no option but to stay invested due to being 40-50% down on the investment and see what 401 can do for us all. Hopefully things will settle and the view forward be made clearer over the next months, but having been here a while I am not holding my breath. Anyway the sun is out and the weekend is here so enjoy it everybody and good luck.

CF73, I agree that we are in a good position here, my fear is of the board degenerating from a reasonable one to a ramper/deramper battlefield. Statement of fact is always fine as is logical debate, hopefully no-one is offended by my observation. Regards martc.

I think that anybody expecting rises every day is a little optimistic, as Splatted has said there will be top slicing and down days. Lets hope everybodys wishes are fulfilled here, but please, lets not have too much of the dreamer prices and the wild projections. It tends to attract the wrong type of poster. Personally I prefer a 'quiet until news' type board. All the best to holders and lets hope a few dreams are realised.
