Guernica,
while I do understand (and share) your frustration, I have to underline that this is legitimate because the Australian parliament approved the bill. You can find all relevant documents and speeches here:

Kind regards,
Marsh who fully respects and supports democratic decisions
Let's see how this turns out ...
"In commenting on the changes, Greens' leader, Adam Bandt, suggested that the hard emissions cap would make it unviable for 116 new coal and gas projects in the pipeline because they would be unable to get their emissions below the limit. The claim was rejected by the Australian Government soon after it was made and was challenged by several developers and other stakeholders."

I love your optimism ... but the bill passed both houses, according to this article.

Thanks for your take, Newtofo. That's interesting.
I'm still closely watching Falcon and the Beetaloo because I might re-enter the play ...
Although I don't like what POQ has delivered so far, I think his skills are perfectly suited for the current situation. I think he will thrive in this challenging environment.
Let's see.
Given the current economic environment (rising interest rates, signs of the economy cooling off), I wonder how difficult it is for Falcon to raise the money needed to get the Beetaloo fully back. Any thoughts?
Who owns the "core Beetaloo" now?
Which stock is it that always can be bought cheaper?
And which CEO makes the best cappuccino and has a decent golf handicap?
This stock is dead. I've written off my remaining Falcons.
I can't stop laughing how this played out and is still playing out ...
Really entertaining move by Origin and Tamboran. But I'm truly feeling sorry for all those believing in Falcon for such a long time. The discussions on this board have always been great. Will miss it and will miss you guys. Good luck and all the best, Marsh
Sorry Wet, my fault. Meant fracking.
Just wanted to highlight that perhaps 600 m of the right rock was enough input for their simulations.
See p. 4 in https://www.tamboran.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/220130-TBN-Initial-Flow-Rates-v8-FOR-RELEASE.pdf
Perhaps they just drilled a 660 m lateral because this produced enough data to optimize their future drilling operations? Achieving good flow results was never the main target but acquiring data on the rock formations, I assume. Subsurface Dynamics (https://www.ssdynamics.com) will now work out the details for the next well.
Just a guess.
@newtofo: No, I havent sold my remaining Falcons although this non-sell runs counter my rational investment approach.
I always considered the "backroom boys" comments of Solyomtwo's over Agora not related to reality. But now I think there could be some truth to it. I mean, we see the stock dipping every time we get good news. Also, the stock price does not reflect Falcon's Beetaloo assets at all. Somebody must be interested in keeping the SP low. There is definitely something wrong with this stock. Too risky for me. Will sell as soon as I break even (CAD 0.14). There are many other stocks where I can make money.
