The window of opportunity for the Beetaloo is closing because long-duration batteries seem to become affordable.

If Falcon keeps the current pace in exploring the Beetaloo, there will be no gas market anymore.
Falcon has done a better job a few years back. Sometimes I think Falcon's weird PR activities are intentional ... to keep the value of Falcon low. But I have no idea who would benefit from a lower stock price. The big owners of Falcon? POQ's stock options? I just don't know. This announcement is soooo weird and unnecessary.
Sold almost all of my Falcons last year and doubled my money but I still hold some angry birds. I'll sell at CND 0.13 or perhaps 0.12 as this would not bring me a loss. If you hold a lot of shares, be wise and don't sell now when everybody is in panic mode. The future is probably still bright for this company but I'm done.
One of the reasons I've sold most of my Falcons last year was that I didnt trust POQ anymore. This new farmout confirms my assessment of POQ. I'll sell the rest of my Falcons as soon as they are above CDN 0.13.
I'm glad I've sold 2/3 of my Falcons last year.
When I started investing in Falcon, all my personal indicators for Falcon were in the green (management, three very promising acreages, business model, regulatory and political environment, need for LNG etc). Last year, all indicators went negative, except for LNG need and the Beetaloo. However, with todays announcement my Beetaloo indicator is red now as well. I will sell all my Falcons soon.
Thanks for the great time on this board. I really enjoyed the ride and doubled my money.
Good luck and all the best to all of you!
Newtofo,
that's exactly why I've sold two-thirds of my Falcons. And to quote a very esteemed member of this board: "You can always buy Falcon at a lower price."
Looking forward to meeting you guys in Dublin sometime in the future. :-)
I'll be back in January. Have a great time everybody!
What does success look like?
"We believe the threshold to achieve commerciality are flows >3mmscf/d from a 1,000m horizontal well."
"We consider that it will only take one well from either the Origin or Santos- operated (ASX: STO) acreage to achieve our gas flow threshold (as success can be replicated across the basin) to 'prove concept' and confirm our expectation that a large scale development is commercially viable."
"Further value could be realised if Origin can confirm a natural gas liquids (NGLs) and/or condensate play can be commercialised and achieve a condensate-to-gas ratio (CGR) >3%. The presence and/or commerciality of any NGLs (C3 and C4) or condensate (C5+) will be better understood following Stage 2 drilling from Jun 2019."
