From a Vela presentation on their website in November 2017 ( Up to date for the BOD!)
How much have the BOD co-invested?
Investments should have the following criteria:
? Easily understandable business model
? Has the ability to disrupt the natural historic way in which the business or
service operates
? Management with financial commitment – “skin in the game”
? Seasoned and successful management team
? Co-invest alongside experienced City and Venture Capital investors
? Timeframe
With around 80% of shares held by institutions who declare when they sell. Is it all the poor retail investors who have had enough and got out at rock bottom? Driven down by lack of communication by the BOD their mates, the fat cats, pounce and pick up cheap shares. Or am I dreaming??!!
Agree with all. The BOD will have much to explain at the AGM
The one area of hope is that it may be used with other autoimmune conditions.
See below:
Researchers are also learning new information about how AZD1656 effects the
immune system and also how COVID-19 effects the immune system. This
information may be useful for treating other diseases
With around 80% of Vela shares in institutional hands, I wonder what they are thinking??
Surely their credibility is at stake and one would hope they are very vocal at the AGM.
Also how much do the BOD hold? Not a lot I guess!
Can anyone advise what % holding Vela have in MTI, please?
I have looked on the Vela website and can find MTI listed but cannot see on the list of acquisitions when the shares in MTI were purchased or at what price.
MTI is in the high-frequency comms market. They would be potentially a player in the new 5G rollout....companies such as Nokia mentioned in MTI press releases. The MTI website states their AGM will be in March 2022 ( see release 17th January 2022) They appear to be profitable.
From Vela website:
Headquartered in Israel, MTI is an AIM quoted technology group (AIM:MWE) focused on comprehensive communication and radio frequency solutions across multiple sectors through three core divisions:
– Antenna Division: MTI is a world leader in the design, development and production of high quality, state-of-the-art, and cost-effective antenna solutions including Smart Antennas, MIMO Antennas and Dual Polarity Antennas for wireless applications. MTI supplies antennas for both military and commercial markets from 100 KHz to 90 GHz.
Any news please about % holding and when or if Vela is still invested would be appreciated.
I wonder who handles website updates for Vela??
BigDave13 Agree wish they would. Just lack of any comment from BOD for me speaks volumes. Trying to be positive though. Are the BOD hands tied in that they are unable to release any further information regarding SGS? Don't know but hopefully, soon we will all know positively.
Doucer Thank you. I can see what you are saying. I really don't understand how the market thinks at all! On the purely emotional aspect where the share is perceived to have a higher value and therefore can drop further. I do wonder with all the negative comments I read on this board alone why anyone would think anything but it's going to bomb further. I can only liken it to buying a house. If everyone is saying the prices will drop, it's in a poor area or it will never sell why would you purchase it. Maybe a bit of a simplistic view but is there not some truth in this? Lack of input in terms of press releases or statements from the BOD does not help this downward pressure in any way. Again only my humble opinion. I have nothing to do with the city and as I said don't really understand how it works. Thank you again for your comment. For all let's just hope things improve whatever the outcome after January 24th! We are in the same boat at the end of the day.
Would others on the Vela share chat feel the same as I do in that the share consolidation may be positive in the long run? With fewer shares in circulation and a higher share price does this not put Vela on the radar for institutions and investors with more cash to spend? I don't know the answer and am personally more of a long-term holder but would like honest opinions, please.
