You all that are attending the meeting know my recent questions. On top of that Texas? If they have 400 feet of vertical(130 m) There is absolutely no need to go horizontal.
Why did they only perforate 6feet?
Why were Vision never questioned on what they were doing for well after well?

Why did PANR not have a drilling supervisor watching them in a 50/50 JV?

Thank you David. On a 400 feet pay zone vertically, why would anyone go horizontal with all the problems involved? The whole of the North Sea was drilled in the eighties and nineties at a max of 50degrees. Wireline tools can not get past 60 degrees the last I was working. The cable and tools has not got the weight. They run Rollers(tractors) in the hope of getting round. I can not understand anyone that goes horizontal with a 6" hole when you have 400feet vertical. Just get the kids to draw the well and think how would that be better than that!!!

if the approval is complex how did they drill it in the first place? It is already drilled so how can Capex be expensive?

IF they have 400 feet of vertical pay, why do they need to go horizontal. They only perforated 6feet????????????. Alkaid 1 if it is as good as they say should be up and running. A rig for 2 weeks to drill the cement, run a completion and perforate say 200 feet and there is a live well ready to produce. Cost 5 million.
We have no income. Every well we have is shut in or producing F... all. This one is a banker according to the BOD. Why leave it?

I am right in the mood for a scrap! The other board is talking like we were 4 years ago. There will be no oil produced from Alaska in the next 10 months unless they truck it out. Alkaid no 1 is cemented in at the moment. They need a drilling rig to drill the cement out, run a completion and perforate. None of this is happening. They do not need a JV to do this. When they can show they are producing something somewhere in the Western hemisphere things will change. On the other site we are next to the road and the pipeline. *******s none of them have drilled in harsh environments.

I do not know if I will bother again. It costs me about £600 for flights and hotels. We shall see if it is back to December or will it change again this year?

Haliburton do not make casing, wellheads. They are a service company. They do cementing and wireline work. They are not manufacturers of any product involved in drilling. Cameron and GE(originally Vetco Gray) are the wellhead and X-mas tree people in the world. Their manufacturing is done in the area of the Southern States. Casing and tubing are made all over the world. The best tubing in the world came from Japan Nippon steel company! Why I do not know???

On the other board??? Lots of spare equipment in Texas(DB). We are not F...….. Drilling in Texas, we should be, but alas dear Yoric we are not. February spud in Alaska hopefully. As someone else stated busiest year in Alaska drilling wise. Rig and equipment priority. The way we operate is not conducive to this simple fact.

Reading the other board. There is lead time on equipment. Last I heard about 6 months in the States. You do not walk into Walmart and walk out on the same day with it all. With the Permian being busy, casing and especially completion tubing(workovers) will be in demand. Well heads and X-mas trees are definitely a lead time product. You may have a rig but you need the stuff to go under it to drill.

We are getting close to tipping point with nothing on the cards. I am sure they have the well design for next wells But the casing needs to be bought and the mud order and chemicals in. Then they need a rig or 2. Before we know it another month will be gone. Need some news before end September for sure.

I consulted for BP after Macondo. You should have seen how focussed they were. Every detail and everything was on the table. There was nothing hidden. Great people outside the U.S. There was not one Brit on the Deepwater Horizon or in town. The relief wells were designed from Aberdeen and drilled by a friend of mine called John Wright. I worked for him in Singapore and Australia. He has killed more big wells than anyone without the dramatics of John Wayne. Google Stuart Wright The company. Asked for me personally. Smarter than me? I do not know!!!! He trusted me with his name and company.

Rabito, there are people in the world of drilling that know more than Bobby Gray and Jay Cheatham. These are the people that actually stood on a drill floor at the time. They did not !!! To hear it on the telephone and say why don't we do this? Different ballgame. The last well I killed was in India 5 years ago. Same bottom hole pressures as Macondo for BP. So do not think these guys actually know it all? They have been in an office for years relying on other people. The other people do well design, mud ,logistics. They have not done that for 40 years.
Ask Jay the last time he was on the brake on a rig? I will put 45 years minimum.
I like Jay but I have reservations about his ability to win this.

My whole point of yesterday was where is the revenue coming from? We do not even know if we are covering salaries and costs! What I would like to know each month from PANR is how much oil/gas we are producing. I should not have to find those figures. If they were good they would be published by PANR so obviously not?
Farm out would be great. I am an impatient person as I was committed to time/ budget schedules in drilling wells safely. Everything about them is pedantic to say the least. Before anyone says just sell up , I am in far too deep to take the hit. I will bide my time for another year(that will make about 13 years)
