They are drilling nothing. Rig up. Xmas tree off if well is stable. . Pull previous set plugs. Run a deep set plug. Below SMD. Pressure test. All on wireline. Can do all that through the tree. Remove tree and put on BOP. Then rig up to perforate and frac. Do not know ID of tubing so looks slim to me on drill pipe. David will have signed off on something like this. The new frac guy knows his stuff!!!
Bubble point can be massive problem in Oil base muds. Oil is compressible in the mud. Water based muds are basically non compressible. Can not compress water.
In oil base muds the gas can hide till bubble point and then by Boyles Law expands rapidly. Usually around 1000 feet from surface and hits very fast on a land rig or Jack up. The BOP has to be shut in as soon as the kick is noticed. If not!!!!
BP have created their own problems. There is no way they will look at PANR in the near future. Grow up. They do not have a boss!!! Anyone that comes in will struggle to sort BP out for a while.
